Hi, I’m Katrina Purcell, host of the Managed Chaos Podcast, and if you’ve ever felt like building a startup is less about strategic planning and more about strategic panic, you’re my people.

I started this show because I was tired of the "success theater", the narrative that suggests every founder is crushing it 24/7. The truth is, the startup journey is inherently messy, unpredictable, and frankly, chaotic. My mission is simple: to democratize access to the strategic knowledge that turns that chaos into manageable, repeatable steps.

Who I Talk To, and Why You Should Listen

I deliver the startup business rundown in less time than it takes to get to work. My core audience consists of startup founders and C-suite leaders scaling their businesses, as well as small business owners struggling with operational clarity.

I speak directly to the high-achiever who feels like "rest is a foreign concept," the leader who struggles with Imposter Syndrome, and the team desperately trying to fix broken processes.

What makes the podcast different? I focus on the how, not just the why. I provide actionable, practical knowledgeacross core content pillars like strategic operations, leadership, managing stress, and implementing growth hacking techniques on a realistic budget. I frame well-being, from managing burnout to overcoming self-doubt, as a necessary part of the operational checklist, not a luxury.

Turning Setbacks into Strategy

The podcast provides vulnerable, honest narratives. I recently had a guest share an experience that almost destroyed her startup before she even launched. I share stories like this because I believe the real growth lessons are found not in avoiding failure, but in effectively leveraging it.

I love hosting guests like creative operators, seasoned investors, and board-certified psychotherapists who can share specialized "playbooks" for ambiguous problems. If you have actionable, hard-won wisdom on scaling, leadership, or navigating uncertainty, I want to hear your story.

Milestones & The Core Message

This year marked a huge milestone for the show: we hosted a workshop at SXSW on "Managing the Chaos of Rapid Growth," validating our message that operational clarity is a universal startup pain point.

The response was overwhelmingly positive to have a space to discuss and solve operational challenges in real time. Furthermore, the show has secured its first sponsors, allowing us to continue creating high-quality, free content for the community. Ultimately, Managed Chaos is built on the unwavering premise that you don't have to choose between massive growth and your mental health. You just need a practical roadmap to manage the chaos along the way.
