Why Storytelling Matters to Me
For so many years, I believed my story wasn't significant enough to tell. Like many people, I minimized my experiences because someone else had it harder, or I convinced myself that what I'd been through was simply "part of life." It wasn't until I began writing that I realized our stories aren't powerful because they're extraordinary. They're powerful because they're honest, vulnerable and raw.
Storytelling has a way of helping us make sense of our own lives while giving someone else permission to see themselves differently. A single chapter, a sentence, or even one shared experience can become the exact thing another person needed to hear to feel less alone, find hope, or take the first step toward changing their own life.
That's why I care so deeply about helping others become who they are authentically. Writing a book isn't just a collection of words. It's a way to preserve wisdom, inspire future generations, open doors you never imagined, and create ripple effects that extend far beyond what you'll ever see. I believe every leader has a story worth telling, and when they have the courage to share it, they don't just change their own life, they change the lives of the people who find themselves within its pages.
What Drew Me to Publishing
One of the things I love most about coaching is helping people recognize strengths they can't always see in themselves. Over the years, I've had countless conversations with leaders who casually shared a life experience or lesson, only to dismiss it by saying, "It's probably not that interesting." Meanwhile, I'm sitting there thinking, "Are you kidding? Someone needs to hear that."
Helping people become published authors felt like a natural next step because a book has the ability to outlive a conversation. A keynote ends. A coaching session comes to a close. A social media post eventually disappears. A book becomes something people can return to again and again. It has the power to inspire someone you'll likely never meet.
I also know how overwhelming the publishing process can feel. Many people have a story in their heart but don't know where to begin or believe they have what it takes. I wanted to help remove that barrier so they could focus on what matters most, sharing their message with confidence.
For me, this work is about more than publishing books. It's about helping leaders turn their experiences into something that encourages, teaches, and inspires others for years to come. There is something incredibly special about watching someone go from saying, "I've always wanted to write a book," to proudly holding it in their hands. I never get tired of witnessing that transformation.
My Belief in Visibility and Women’s Voices
I think too many women have spent their lives believing they need one more certification, one more accomplishment, or one more reason to feel qualified before sharing what they know. Meanwhile, the people they're meant to help are still waiting.
Visibility isn't about being the loudest person in the room or chasing attention. It's about allowing yourself to be seen for who you truly are and trusting that your experiences, knowledge, and perspective have value. When one woman chooses to stop hiding, she quietly gives others permission to do the same. I've watched incredible women minimize their achievements, downplay their expertise, and talk themselves out of opportunities because they believed someone else was more qualified. The truth is, confidence rarely comes before visibility. More often, confidence is built because we were willing to show up before we felt completely ready.
I believe the world needs more women who are willing to share their voices with honesty, humility, and courage. Not because they have all the answers, but because authentic leadership creates connection. And when one woman has the courage to be visible, she doesn't just change her own life. She expands what's possible for everyone watching.
How I Support Aspiring Authors
I believe every aspiring author starts in the same place with an idea, a message, and usually a healthy dose of self-doubt. My role is to help them move past the overwhelm and see that writing a book doesn't have to happen all at once. It happens one story, one chapter, and one page at a time. I love helping authors discover the thread that ties their experiences together. Sometimes they have years of journals, notes, or ideas but aren't sure how to organize them into a message that truly resonates. Together, we create clarity, identify the heart of their book, and build a roadmap that makes the process feel exciting instead of intimidating.
More than anything, I encourage people to write from a place of authenticity rather than perfection. Readers don't connect with polished. They connect with real. My goal is to help each author find their unique voice, trust it, and have the confidence to share it with the world.
Watching someone hold their published book for the very first time is one of the most rewarding experiences. It's more than a finished manuscript. It's proof that they honored their vision, followed through on a dream, and created something that will continue making an impact long after the final page is written.
