About 30 years ago I discovered infrared saunas by accident after seeing an ad in the back of a health magazine in a dentist's office. At the time I was trying to turn my house into a day spa to support my part-time massage practice while working my way through Chiropractic school in Northern California. I decided to order two of these new infrared saunas after visiting the factory in Southern California. I became a dealer before ever even trying one. When I visited the sauna factory in LA, I could see it was a quality product, and I really liked the people. As soon as the saunas arrived at my home, I set one up in my house and plugged it in. After it heated up quickly, I got in and immediately liked the feeling of being surrounded by the deep penetrating infrared heaters. All my muscles started to relax and soften almost immediately. I then started to break a little sweat all over my body. My mind started to slow down at this point while I exhaled deeply. 10 minutes in, I was hooked. The penetrating heat by that time had me sweating bullets while the air was comfortable and not scorching. I was stretching a little here and there and suddenly, I could feel a little smile coming to my lips. After 20 minutes I was cooked and felt a bit like a wet noodle! A few minutes later I got out and showered and stopped to survey the results. My body felt amazing, my stress was gone, and my skin was the softest I had felt in a long time. I felt relaxed, unstoppable and energized all at the same time. I had never felt better. I was so impressed with how the infrared sauna made me feel, that I started to ponder the best way that I could get these saunas into the hands of the people that really needed them.
