Paula Lamb’s life story is one of bold transitions, transformative faith, and a voice that empowers others to embrace healing and growth. From her early days in Zimbabwe to the vibrant landscapes of South Africa and now the expansive horizon of Canada, Paula’s life has been anything but static. These major relocations didn’t just shift her geography—they profoundly reshaped her worldview and inner strength.

“As I began to pen my chapter for She Stands Strong, I thought, ‘Wow, I went through that and here I am today, stronger and wiser,’” Paula reflects. Her journey has taught her that resilience isn't just about surviving; it’s about thriving—especially when life feels uncertain or uncomfortable. “Trials and transitions shape how we see ourselves,” she says. “They push us to redefine our boundaries and rediscover our worth.”

It’s that very message she hopes others receive when they find themselves stuck in fear or in the middle of a life transition.

“You can do hard things,” she says with quiet authority. “God has placed the divine gift of courage in all of us. Sometimes we don’t realize it’s there until we’re faced with a storm.” Paula recommends what she calls the “helicopter view”—stepping back, acknowledging the fear, and then questioning it with curiosity. “Make friends with fear,” she says. “It’s an invitation to grow.”

Writing has been both a tool and a catalyst for Paula’s own transformation. Her chapter in She Stands Strong was a watershed moment. “I cried when I finished the first draft,” she recalls. “It was like releasing years of emotional baggage I didn’t even know I was still carrying.” That story, filled with grit and grace, not only revealed how her personality had been forged by life’s challenges—it also revealed the depth of healing that can come from telling the truth.

In contrast, writing her chapter in She Glows: Empowering Women Through Wellness and Self-Care tapped into her joy and passion for inner wellness.

“It was fun, uplifting, and creative,” Paula shares. “That chapter offers a 3-step guide for others to begin their journey toward glowing from the inside out.”

As a multi-time co-author in women's anthologies, Paula has witnessed the collective strength of women coming together to share their stories. “We are not alone,” she emphasizes. “The common thread in every anthology is this: we can move beyond what once held us back.” She believes that storytelling builds more than books—it builds community, compassion, and deep healing.

At the heart of Paula’s voice is her unwavering faith. “My faith is the foundation of my healing,” she says. One of her guiding scriptures comes from Matthew 5:13-16: “Be the salt and the light.” It’s a verse that informs how she lives, serves, and speaks into others' lives. “Staying connected to my Christian community keeps me ‘salty’ and my light shining bright. That connection brings strength, peace, and joy—and fuels my mission.”

That mission found new expression in her podcast Beyond to Freedom, which she created to integrate her growing faith with her deep commitment to personal growth. “I wanted to stand in my truth and speak about what it really means to be a Christian in daily life,” Paula explains. Through the show, she offers soul-level encouragement to help listeners move beyond fear, shame, or limitation.

The inspiration for her episodes flows naturally—from church sermons, scripture, the YouVersion Bible app, conversations with her faith community, and favorite voices like Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen. “It’s amazing where messages show up,” she laughs. And while she’s received powerful feedback over time, one of her favorite responses is this: “Your voice is so soothing, it puts me to sleep!” She laughs, but she knows it’s a compliment. Others have told her that her words helped them take action—like a listener who committed to their health journey after an episode during Lent.

Paula’s honesty about fear and self-doubt is one of the qualities that makes her so relatable. “I’ve battled imposter syndrome, wondered if I’m good enough, and feared whether I was truly capable,” she says. “These are daily struggles. But I’ve learned the mind can lie to us. We have to take back control.” Her go-to questions for facing fear? What am I afraid of? What can I control? What is one small step I can take right now? These questions ground her in truth and help her keep moving forward, even when the road ahead feels uncertain.

The most unexpected lesson she’s learned while helping others on their healing journey has come from shifting her expectations. “I used to hold people—friends, clients, even family—to the same high standards I hold myself. But not everyone can or will meet those expectations, and that led to disappointment,” she admits. It wasn’t until she embraced the idea of meeting people where they are—with patience and gentleness—that she experienced a deeper level of peace. “That shift was incredibly freeing,” she shares. “It transformed how I view relationships, and helped me release expectations that only caused pain.”

Paula Lamb’s story is not just one of survival or even success—it’s one of sacred transformation. Through her writing, podcasting, and powerful presence, she embodies what it means to stand strong, glow with inner wellness, and walk in faith. She’s helping others do the same—one truth-filled story, one podcast episode, one brave step at a time.

Because beyond fear, beyond doubt, beyond limitation—there is freedom. And Paula Lamb is lighting the way.
