The show spans a wide range of genres across general fiction and nonfiction, including romance, true crime, comics, cookbooks, and more. Now in its fifth season, the show highlights new releases, publishing journeys, and industry insight through in-depth author conversations. With 200+ episodes and a consistent weekly release schedule, the podcast continues to grow its global audience.
Dianne has worked for print publications since she was 17 years old. Beginning her career as the staff artist for a professional sports publication, she went on to work for numerous publications as a graphic artist, photographer, and writer. After multiple brain surgeries required her to rebuild core language skills, Dianne stepped away from media before later re-entering the field and rebuilding her career from Europe. Dianne moved to Europe in 2014 where she found the language barrier to be an issue when looking for local employment. She turned to online work as a media manager for an independent film company in California.
In 2015, Dianne noticed the opportunities in self-publishing and published her Into the West Saga Serial as Stephen Burckhardt. Since then she started her podcast, Book Banter with Dianne Burckhardt – Book Talk Podcast, and followed that up with the companion magazine, Book Banter Magazine. She is currently working on more books and growing her media business Burckhardt Books.
