Ekin Ozlen A Life Intertwined with Beauty, Music, and Resilience

From the age of five, Ekin Ozlen’s life was set to the rhythm of music and the art of self-expression. Encouraged by supportive parents, Ekin’s childhood was filled with melodies and creativity, though not without its amusing challenges. Her mother’s decision to buy a piano and enroll her in lessons became both a gift and a test of patience: the young Ekin, already enamored with nail art, resented the short nails her piano teacher demanded. But even then, the seeds were planted for a life that would merge artistry, beauty, and business. After her family went to sleep, Ekin would stay up late with her little Radio Shack microphone, singing covers and recording herself, determined to perfect her voice by imitating her favorite artists.

These early years were more than a childhood hobby; they were the start of a creative journey shaped deeply by her heritage. Her Turkish roots became an essential part of her musical identity, as captured in one of her first original songs, “Turkish Delight,” an ode to where she comes from. With a father who is an accomplished dancer and a stepmother celebrated as an opera singer in Turkey, Ekin inherited not just talent but a passion for performance and cultural pride that set her apart in an industry crowded with voices.

Ekin’s life as an artist and entrepreneur became inseparable when she became the CEO of KERACELL, a regenerative beauty brand. The synergy between her music and the brand happened organically.

During beauty tutorial shoots for Macy’s, her team suggested using her music as background tracks. That idea blossomed into writing lyrics that directly included KERACELL, turning songs into living, breathing extensions of her brand. This fusion allowed Ekin to bridge the high-science appeal of KERACELL with a warm, approachable personality through her music, making it more relatable to audiences.

Her single “La Noche” embodied that perfect blend, while her recent release “Where You At,” featuring Vadhir Derbez and Roxy Ferrari, marked another milestone. Produced amid the challenges of Covid-19, filming the video required constant rescheduling, but the final shoot felt electric—a much-needed release from the isolation of quarantine. For Ekin, this project holds extra meaning: shortly after filming, she began an intense IVF journey, which led her to step back temporarily from the public eye to focus on creating new life.

The video stands as a joyful memory from a transformative chapter of her life, made even more meaningful by seamlessly launching KERACELL’s CBD hand sanitizer within it.

Balancing modeling, music, and entrepreneurship might seem daunting to some, but for Ekin, these creative worlds nourish each other.

Her years of modeling—especially in swimwear and lingerie—helped her develop a strong awareness of her physicality and movement, skills she later used in her music videos and performances. The confidence and poise she cultivated on set became tools she drew on to embody her vision as an artist.

Before she fully stepped into songwriting, Ekin immersed herself in New York City’s freestyle hip-hop scene. At the time, she was exclusively modeling with Ford, while her boyfriend owned a record label. Spending nights in studios, witnessing musicians engage in word battles, and feeling the raw poetry of their craft inspired her to experiment with writing lyrics herself. She bought a ProTools rig, set it up in her living room, and began recording original songs. What started as creative curiosity quickly became therapeutic. Still grieving the loss of her first husband, who had passed away, music turned into her medicine—helping her process pain and rediscover purpose.

Outside the studio, Ekin finds another form of healing and presence on horseback. Competitive horseback riding offers her a rare escape from the noise of life. When she’s riding, the rest of the world slips away, and she’s completely present with her horse. Just like music, riding has been a deeply personal and restorative outlet, reminding her to slow down and simply be.

Ekin has never shied away from sharing the vulnerable parts of her journey, including the difficult road through IVF. Beginning her IVF treatments during Covid-19, she faced the added isolation of strict clinic policies that kept her husband from accompanying her to appointments. Despite the immense emotional and physical toll, she chose to document the entire experience on Instagram, sharing each step openly. For Ekin, the risk was worth it if her transparency could help even one other person feel less alone, better informed, or more hopeful in their own IVF journey. If she failed to conceive, at least her story could provide guidance for someone else—turning private pain into collective empowerment.

Underlying all these creative and personal endeavors is Ekin’s academic background: a psychology degree that quietly shapes how she navigates her roles. Whether managing teams, collaborating with artists, or growing a business, she relies daily on the understanding of personality dynamics and human motivation that her studies provided. It helps her bring out the best in those she works with, building a culture of creativity and respect around her projects.

Today, Ekin’s focus is squarely on expanding KERACELL and securing a lasting legacy for her two children. Regenerative beauty is on the rise, and KERACELL’s commitment to innovative, science-backed products resonates with a market that values results. With a recent launch on Nordstrom.com, the brand is reaching new audiences, and Ekin’s excitement about this momentum is clear. She remains passionate about every aspect of the business, never tiring of client testimonials about improved skin and hair health. Each success story reinforces her belief in the power of merging beauty, science, and authenticity.

Ekin Ozlen’s journey, from a little girl recording herself late at night, to a multi-faceted artist and entrepreneur, is a testament to resilience, creativity, and staying true to one’s roots. Her story illustrates that the worlds of beauty and music don’t just coexist—they amplify each other. Through openness about personal struggles, fearless blending of business and art, and a deep commitment to leaving something meaningful behind, Ekin is creating a legacy far greater than any single song, product, or performance. It is a life built on courage, compassion, and an unshakeable belief that every challenge can be turned into inspiration for someone else.
