From Breakdown to Breakthrough: The power of perspective

My professional journey began in the legal field. After earning my Juris Doctor and practicing law from 2001 to 2005, I chose an entrepreneurial path and opened a law firm and real estate title company. Business thrived, and within a short period, I expanded operations across multiple states. On the surface, everything appeared perfect.

Despite the achievements, life had other lessons in store.

In 2009 the world was going through an economic recession due to the faulty real estate mortgage and lending industry. My business went under and I had a lawsuit filed against me. The justice system I had once trusted felt unjust, and I found myself reeling—shell shocked and depressed. My entire life quickly turned into chaos. This was all happening while I was pregnant and having my first and only child; as a single parent. Ultimately, I ended up homeless with my infant child.

All things happen for a reason.

I had always had a deep interest in psychology and personal development. I self-studied neuroscience, psychology, metaphysics, quantum physics, religions of the world, personal development and much more.

The knowledge I had studied for years was just theoretical. I learned it but never really applied it to my life. That information finally moved from theory into practice. In order to survive and ultimately thrive, I had to embody resilience, release judgment and take daily actions that shifted me from depressed and in despair to hope. I discovered that transformation is not about force or willpower alone but about reframing how we interpret the world around us. By shifting from victim mentality to thriver mentality, I tapped into a higher perspective where life began to flow with ease. Instead of feeling like everything was a relentless uphill battle, life became easy and fun again; everything changed.

Rebuilding my life with a child was neither quick nor easy, but it was intentional. Piece by piece, I learned new skills, built another business and created a life I once only imagined. That process gave me not only professional success but also the ability to work with some of the most accomplished individuals in their fields—hedge fund managers, startup founders, professional athletes, lawyers and c suite executives from around the world.

My expertise opened doors to serve on advisory boards and boards of directors. More importantly, my life experiences gave me something far more valuable: empathy, compassion and the ability to coach without judgment.

What I once considered my greatest downfall became the very foundation of my purpose. My struggles taught me to see beyond surface-level success and to guide others through their own limiting beliefs and challenges. Today, as a high-level elite performance coach, I work with people worldwide, helping them design businesses and lives that align with their highest potential. I have witnessed countless clients transition from overwhelm and stagnation to ease and extraordinary success, often in remarkably short periods of time.

Looking back, I see that everything unfolded for a reason. Losing everything forced me to live the principles I had studied for decades. It gave me not only resilience but also a perspective I could never have gained otherwise. My journey from breakdown to breakthrough is what allows me now to empower others to step into their dream lives—not through force, but through alignment, clarity and the courage to rise above circumstance.
