When Did You Stop Dimming Yourself?
It wasn’t a single moment—it was a series of small awakenings. But the turning point came during perimenopause, a time when my body seemed to betray me. Despite years as a professional bodybuilder, fitness coach, and nutrition expert, I gained weight despite eating clean, struggled with sleep, and faced a broken vertebra that left me in pain. Suddenly, all my knowledge and experience couldn’t push me past this wall.
Yet, being physically broken sparked a choice: shrink, retreat, or find a new gear. I chose the latter. I realized I wasn’t broken—my hormones were out of balance, signaling a need for a different kind of support. And so, I created it. That’s when I stopped dimming. I knew if I struggled despite my credentials, other women would face the same challenges unless someone spoke up. That someone had to be me.
What Helped You Claim Your Power?
I claimed my power by doing what I teach: resetting my hormones, rebuilding my strength, and redefining what thriving means in midlife. But claiming power wasn’t just about my body—it was about speaking my truth. I began sharing openly about why women struggle to lose weight after 40: it’s not about laziness or inconsistency, it’s about hormonal shifts. Estrogen drops. Cortisol spikes. Insulin resists. And the one-size-fits-all plans women are often given simply don’t work.
Through my podcast, cookbook, public speaking, and Hormone Solution program, I’ve made it my mission to help women stop blaming themselves and start understanding their bodies. Confidence came not from fitting a mold but from finally using all my knowledge—from the bodybuilding stage to scientific insights—to help women rewrite their stories.
How Can Women Lead Unapologetically?
Leadership starts in the mirror. For many women, reclaiming energy is the first step. With energy restored, women can lead their families, careers, and communities without burning out. Unapologetic leadership means refusing to shrink for the comfort of others and intentionally building a life and body that supports the woman you want to be.
It’s not about being loud—it’s about consistency. Daily decisions to nourish yourself, speak your truth, and release outdated beliefs about midlife can transform your life. When women stop hiding behind their weight, their symptoms, or shame, they become unstoppable. And the world needs more unstoppable women, not fewer.

If you’re in your 40s and feel like your body has betrayed you, take heart: you’re not broken. You’re ready for a new approach. By understanding your body, supporting it appropriately, and embracing your voice, you can reclaim your power. This journey isn’t just about transformation on the outside—it’s about stepping fully into yourself, unapologetically, and leading from a place of knowledge, strength, and authenticity.
