To start things off… the three of us became best friends in 2015 while playing Division I field hockey at the University of North Carolina. After graduating, we traded in our sticks for clubs and started playing golf together as a way to stay active and competitive. Pretty quickl, we realized how hard it was to find women’s golf clothes that were practical for the course, fit well, and didn’t cost a fortune. Most options felt either dated, overly trendy, or uncomfortable to play in. Out of those frustrations, Honey Golf was born. We design and test every piece ourselves, drawing on our athletic backgrounds and the feedback of other women golfers to create reliable staples that make sense for real players. What started as a side project among friends has grown into a small but steadily expanding brand built by and for women who love the game.

In college, we trained constantly (lifting, running, conditioning), but it was always tied to performance and being better teammates on the field. When that structure disappeared after graduation, each of us went through our own fitness journey. We tried different routines, fell in and out of habits, and slowly figured out what movement looks like for us outside of a team environment. Over time, we’ve all found ways to enjoy working out again on our own terms. Now exercise is less about competition and more about taking care of ourselves. It relieves stress, helps us stay strong for our golf games, improves our breathing (which is more important than you’d think in golf!), and gives us a clearer mind to bring to our work. That shift, seeing training as something we get to do rather than have to do, has become essential to our confidence and well-being.

At Honey Golf, we’re working to inspire confidence through golf. We tested our signature bodysuit across many different body types to make sure it supported women of all shapes and sizes. We designed it to be form-fitting, but flattering, to make sure anyone who put it on their body would love the way they look. We also paid attention to practical details like lengths, cuts, and fabrics that give ample coverage for stricter golf environments while still feeling feminine and stylish. We know that golf can be daunting, and often considered to be a male sport, so we made sure our clothing would give women the confidence they needed when they stepped up on the tee box. We firmly believe that looking good and feeling secure in what you’re wearing is the first step toward playing your best game.

Personally, we struggled to deal with the abrupt ending of team sports that came with adulthood. Golf is unique because it is a lifelong sport that keeps men and women competitive, active and engaged. It’s a perfect way to inspire confidence because it's available to anyone, at any age, and any ability. We believe that the first step to women being confident on the golf course is a great outfit. When you feel comfortable and capable in what you’re wearing, it’s easier to step into a new space, pick up a club, and believe you belong there.

Honey will always be evolving and listening to our customers. We recently added a long-sleeve option to our line in preparation for the colder weather. We hope to launch in more colors soon. While we believe in the technology behind our signature bodysuits, we will be expanding to include other apparel items in the future. We want our brand to provide something for everyone, so make sure to keep a close eye on future releases.
