This article offers advice for authors. My recommendation is to create a series of similar themed books to help create an author brand. I will likely create another treasure themed book, perhaps a novel to compliment my book How to Find Treasure. However, my business book is ways to make money which is somewhat similar to searching for treasure. How to Find Treasure is currently for sale on Amazon. The link is below. The paperback is currently 12.99. Hardcover is 24.99.

I wrote How to Find Treasure to entertain and inform. The book was published on February 17, 2022. Treasure hunting is a fun hobby. I wanted to share this passion. My business book is written to share ways for people to earn money. A lot of people in the US are struggling to make ends meet or find food for their families. According to Forbes in an article about the Wage Crisis, 73 percent of employees are struggling. 24 percent of people are struggling to cover necessities. I don’t want friends, family, or strangers to go without. I wrote a book about ways to make and save money to address this issue. My hope is that the book helps people and is enjoyable to read.

An author can turn a single book into an author brand by choosing their subject carefully. Perhaps, write about a popular subject you’re passionate about.

The biggest lesson for authors is not to pay for a publisher.

My advice for beginning writers is to self publish their book on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing instead of purchasing an expensive publishing offer. Amazon KDP is online. It is free for authors. Amazon KDP takes royalties from your book sales. Amazon KDP launched in 2007 under another name. Amazon KDP doesn’t charge an upfront fee.

New writers sometimes make the mistake of underestimating in person sales. It’s very important to meet people in person to make sales. I’ve made many sales in person. My online sales have been through social media. These sales are important as well. You can avoid the mistake of underestimating in person sales by connecting with friends, family, and acquaintances in person. Then selling them a book. Beginning authors may underestimate in person sales because they are inexperienced in specific areas of marketing or sales. Also, be sure to share your book on social media.

Make sure to outline your projects to help create a planned plot line or structure. Sometimes new writers don’t create an outline.

In conclusion, I’ve offered advice for authors. Remember to choose your book subject carefully. A subject important to you and a subject that you think will be popular is recommended. Create a theme for a series of books. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is not to pay for a publisher if possible. Next, new writers shouldn’t underestimate in person sales. Furthermore, they should share their work on social media. Creating an outline for the structure of the story is crucial.
