Good things come to those who hustle

A mother of three, real estate team leader, speaker and entrepeneur, Peggy Pratt has never taken the easy road. Growing up in the city of Boston, Peggy was exposed to a diverse group of people and business owners who mentored and impulsed her into the business world. Her strong work ethic and motivation pushed her forward and multiple businesses later, she discovered that real estate was her thing. She loved communications but found that the money part was difficult, so she gave up on the radio program. The restaurant business was lucrative, but she still felt something was missing. Real estate was the one place she knew she could make a difference in a family’s life, while building her own portfolio and securing her financial future.

She was fortunate enough to meet mentors, such as her for her brokers, along the way that guided and supported her. She began building her real estate portfolio, flipping, buying, selling and holding onto rental properties. Through the years, she raised her family with her husband and traveled the world. Peggy states “To me, one of the best gifts I can give my children is the gift of travel and education. I will also give them the tools to fend for themselves but not hand outs” Her oldest, Joshua has just graduated as a Plastics Engineer from Umass Lowell. Her daughter Sophia will be headed to Providence College this fall to study medicine. Her pungent JJ is going to be a junior in high school and already works in the construction field like his dad.

As far as her career goes, Peggy has been involved in multiple boards including being Past President of the Lynnfield Rotary club, Past President of the Nahrep Boston chapter and currently a National coach for them (an organization she loves and is very involved with) and is currently a board member of the Massachusetts Housing Coalition and the Realtors MLS Pinergy website. She believes being involved and giving back is extremely important.

Through the years she knew she couldn’t handle the business alone and formed a small team which is comprised of newer agents that she has fostered and trained. Like her own children, she personally feels responsible for bettering their lives and future. The Pratt Properties team in currently #55 in the nation on the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate agents 2023 list and #3 Century 21 team in Massachusetts.

As far as her personal life, she is selling her very large home in the suburbs and is moving to a smaller home back in the city that she purchased when she was just 21 years old. Downsizing and moving after her recent divorce , she says is “opening new doors for more travel and a lighter financial burden which will allow me to stop and smell the roses at my 47 years of age” Peggy is extremely excited for this new chapter in life and is living it to the fullest.
