“For me, gratitude has been a powerful tool in navigating both physical and emotional pain. After sustaining a permanent injury that left me dealing with chronic nerve pain, I found myself in a place of desperation. However, through daily practices of meditation and gratitude, I've been able to transform my relationship with pain. Gratitude allows me to focus on the present moment and find peace amidst the discomfort. It's about acknowledging the beauty in life, no matter how small, and using that to fuel my healing journey. By incorporating gratitude into my daily routine, I've been able to turn my pain into a source of purpose, and I'm passionate about helping others do the same. When we share our struggles and our gratitude, we heal and grow together.”

My name is Anne Marie Foley. I am the Spa Director at The Spa & Salon at East Wind Long Island. Along with being Spa Director, I do intuitive coaching and healing work as I am Certified Reiki Master. It is not by chance that I find myself in this position, as many years of different experiences, between having a business background in management, and being immersed in both the aesthetic and the healing worlds, have led me to this position. I sustained a permanent injury to my lingual nerve 12 years ago, and I found myself in a place of despair and dealing with chronic nerve pain. I still live with daily nerve pain, and I needed a way to cope. I found meditation yoga, and Reiki and it changed my life. I incorporate that practice every single day into my world, and I’m passionate about helping and teaching others how to turn their pain into their power -- as when you do, your purpose can be found. I have a daily practice of meditation. I have daily practice of gratitude, and in these practices, I can share with you, they have been both lifesaving and life changing. I understand what it is to live with physical pain daily, and I also understand what it is to have emotional pain as I went through a divorce 14 years ago. I believe in the healing journey. I believe that we are all here to help each other and my mantra is and always will be “when we share, we heal, and when we heal, we share. You can read more about my story in the book “The Beauty of Authenticity” .
