When menopause nearly broke her spirit, Lisa R. Triggs found the courage to rise, reclaim her power, and crown herself The Menopause Queen. Her story is a reminder that freedom, love, and gratitude are the keys to becoming unstoppable.


When Lisa R. Triggs looked in the mirror, she no longer recognized the woman staring back. The fatigue was heavy, the sadness unrelenting, and her once-bright spark had dimmed. What she didn’t know was that everything she was experiencing was more than stress. It was the awakening of a new chapter.


The Breaking Point

For years, I felt like I was slowly disappearing. I woke up each morning exhausted and detached from the woman I once was. My body felt foreign. My joy had vanished. I was severely depressed, I had insomnia, and I was tired and fatigued all the time. I didn’t recognize the woman living inside the body I was in. I cried daily, feeling lost and confused. I told myself it was stress or burnout, but deep down, I knew something wasn’t right.


I didn’t know then that everything I was experiencing was connected to menopause. At the time, I had no idea how many symptoms extended beyond the common hot flashes. It wasn’t until I started researching that I began to see the truth. What I thought was exhaustion and emotional instability was my body’s way of telling me it needed care, not criticism.


After almost three months of tears and sleepless nights, I went to my doctor and asked to go on hormone replacement therapy. I wanted to feel better, to function again. For a short while, my sleep improved, and my hot flashes eased slightly. However, it didn’t fix what was really going on inside of me. That was a different story altogether. That was the real journey I had to go on.


The Moment Everything Changed

What I learned was that healing wasn’t only about medication or managing symptoms. It was about rediscovering myself. It was about listening to the quiet voice within that had been drowned out by self-doubt and fear. Beneath all the noise, that voice whispered, You are still here. You are stronger than you think. That voice was my inner Queen.


She had been waiting for me to rise. She wanted me to stop searching for external solutions and start turning inward. So, I did. 


I began meditating, journaling, and practicing gratitude, even on the days when I felt broken. I started speaking to myself with compassion instead of criticism.


I surrounded myself with positive influences, reading books like The Secret to Love, Health, and Money by Rhonda Byrne, and slowly began to shift my perspective. I had been looking at the world through a negative lens. Once I began to appreciate my life and the people in it more, I began to change. I felt lighter. As I felt lighter, my symptoms reduced. I discovered that I always had the choice to be happy. I just had to choose it. Choosing happiness is freedom. Choosing love is freedom. Choosing gratitude is freedom. And freedom is power. Unstoppable power.

Rising into My Power

Science tells us that when we calm our minds, our bodies follow. When we lower stress, we lower inflammation and create balance. The more I focused on peace, the better I felt. The more love I gave myself, the more my body responded. I realized that I wasn’t broken. I was transforming.


The first time I put on a tiara, it wasn’t about glamour. It was about power. I needed to feel something bold, something alive. That tiara became a symbol of strength and sovereignty. It reminded me that I could rise above everything that had tried to silence me. When I put on my tiara and pink dress, I became The Menopause Queen. I was different, and that difference became my superpower. It made me stand out. It reminded me that I had a story to tell and something important to say.


From Pain to Purpose

Through that realization, I began to write. I poured everything I had been through onto the page, every fear, lesson, and victory that led me back to myself. That’s how my book, The Menopause Mindshift: How I Unleashed My Inner Queen, and You Can Too, was born. Writing it transformed my pain into purpose. It wasn’t just my story. It was an invitation for every woman to reclaim her crown.


Through my own transformation, I discovered that manifestation and mindset weren’t just spiritual concepts. They were science-backed pathways to healing. Meditation calmed my mind. Visualization guided my energy. Affirmations helped me reshape the narrative I told myself every day. When I believed I was broken, I stayed stuck. When I believed I could heal, I began to thrive. Healing begins with belief, and belief begins with love.


Becoming Unstoppable

Menopause stripped away every illusion of who I thought I had to be and revealed who I truly was. It taught me resilience and grace. I didn’t become unstoppable by never falling. I became unstoppable because I refused to stay down.

Being unstoppable isn’t about perfection. It’s about persistence. It’s about facing every hard day with courage and choosing love over fear. It’s realizing that your body isn’t betraying you. It’s evolving.


Today, my mission is to support and guide women to write their own menopause story and define their own life journey. 


The biggest hurdle to get over is to learn to love yourself first. Loving yourself first and foremost is the most powerful way to become unstoppable. Because when you lead with love, nothing can stop you.

Menopause is not an ending. It is an awakening. It is the beginning of the most authentic, powerful chapter of your life.
