It was never about downloads or sponsorships. I was chasing connection.

When I launched Call Her Creator, I wasn’t chasing downloads or sponsorships. I was chasing connection.

As a mom of two and founder of a social media agency, I knew there were thousands of women juggling motherhood, ambition, and self-doubt just like me. I wanted to create something that made them feel seen and gave them real strategies to grow online without burning out. That’s how Call Her Creator was born: a podcast for women building businesses with content, creativity, and courage.

Why I Started My Podcast

I’d already built a six-figure business through Instagram, but I felt called to go deeper. Social media is scrollable but podcasts are intimate. You’re literally in someone’s ears, often during their most personal moments: on a walk, in the car, during a late-night work session. I knew this was how I wanted to build deeper trust with my audience.

The Biggest Lessons I’ve Learned

  • Consistency trumps perfection. Some of my most popular episodes weren’t “polished” they were real, raw, and honest.

  • Serve, then sell. When I lead with value (like free growth strategies or personal stories of failure), listeners lean in. They become buyers after they feel seen.

  • Don’t be afraid to pivot. My content evolved as I did — and instead of losing listeners, I built stronger ones.

In under two years, we’ve hit 300K+ downloads, built a paid membership, and booked multiple speaking gigs because of the show. But more than that, I get DMs from women weekly saying Call Her Creator gave them the confidence to show up and start.

Should Others Start a Podcast?

Yes, but not just to be heard. Start one because you want to help, teach, or move people. Podcasting isn’t always fast, but it’s sticky. One listener can turn into a lifelong client, collaborator, or community member. Just don’t start a podcast thinking it’ll go viral. Start it because you have something worth saying and keep saying it.
