Julie Long

Julie Long is a brand builder turned coach who helps women redefine themselves, unleash their potential and go be MORE in the world. 

As a branding expert, she has a stellar track record of launching global brands for Fortune 500, but she has a passion for helping women who want MORE in their life. Julie understands feeling stuck and lost, and wanting more but having NO IDEA where to start.

She knows this because she lived it. In 2008, her husband had a child with another woman. Feeling betrayed, enraged, damaged and ashamed of her perceived failure as a wife, Julie freaking stayed and co-parented his mistress’ child for two years. It took those two years for her to realize the problem was a lifetime of feeling ashamed for being too outspoken, too bold and making herself smaller and smaller just to be loved and accepted. 

One day, she was just DONE. Without a job, money or even a car, Julie threw her husband out and started over.

Lost and having no idea what to do next, Julie used her branding skills to reinvent herself and now she’s living her mission to help women BE MORE, because she believes the world desperately needs women’s voices and leadership. 

As women, we are told from birth what we should look like, how we should dress, act, think, speak. Later, we either get "should"-ed to death (being told what we "should" do/be) or end up sacrificing our needs for our spouses, children or jobs for so long, we forget what we want and who we are. Many women are living on autopilot, following old patterns, beliefs, and ideas that they inherited from their family, friends, or society, but never really questioned or chose for themselves. But they just can’t shake the feeling of wanting more. 

Julie understands that feeling because she’s been there. That's why she created Choose To Rise, a company that helps women create redefine themselves, heal their wounds and create their own personal brand along the way. Through this, Julie was able to heal her PTSD, move across the country and create a life that she loves waking up to every day. Now, she has spoken on over 50 stages, reached over 100 million people with her content, and built a coaching business that helps women transform their lives.

Julie believes there’s magic when women work together. As women, we know it. We feel it and the world needs more of it. She believes women are the future and patriarchy is the past. She’s on a mission to build a community of bold, brave, unapologetic women who embrace their power in the world.
