All you have to do, is to listen to yourself.”

Why We Lose Touch With Intuition

As children, we naturally sense things. We feel people’s emotions and energies, and just know what’s right or wrong.

But as we grow, we are told to ignore those impressions and rely only on reason. Over time, we dismiss our inner signals and stop trusting ourselves.

Yet those abilities never truly disappear. Empathy, clairvoyance, clairaudience and inner knowing are innate, waiting for us to use them. Building this connection can transform how you move through life. Knowing you can count on your intuition, gives you more choice, freedom, independence, ease, trust and calm.

Simple Practices to Tune In

Connecting with your intuition is not complicated.

It begins with paying attention to your body, your energy, and your surroundings. Here are a few ways to start:

  • Choose the right environment. Sit, work, or create in places where you feel energized. Notice how your mood, focus and concentration shift depending on where you are.

  • Track your energy. When do you feel alive, passionate, or at ease? When do you feel drained or flat? These signals reveal what aligns - or doesn’t - with your true self.

  • Arrange your space. Walk through your home and office and notice what feels supportive. Rearrange or release anything that drags your energy down. Even small shifts can create big openings here.

  • Catch your first impressions. When faced with a choice, pause and notice the very first thought, sensation or image that pops up. These flashes carry intuitive information before logic takes over.

The more you practice, the more natural this becomes. Intuition is like a muscle. It functions on its own but you can tap into it at demand at any moment of your life. It is there to grow, help and support you.

How to Recognize Intuitive Messages

For many of us, it may be difficult to tell the difference between intuition and ordinary thought. Here are signs that you have tapped into the real thing:

  • It’s effortless. Intuitive information arrives on its own.

  • It’s sudden. Answers often appear out of the blue, as if they are “downloaded”.

  • It’s quick and subtle. Intuition moves fast—you may almost miss it.

  • It speaks through the body. A tingle, a rush of certainty, or even a physical ache can all be messages. Pay attention to sensations.

  • It feels like knowing. You can’t explain. It just feels true. Make the I know-feeling your compass.

  • It may surprise you. Intuitive insights often bring fresh or unexpected information, sometimes beyond what you’ve learned before.

Instead of doubting, practice welcoming whatever comes up. Trust grows with use.
