MEET DR. DAWN MENGE

I began my author journey while receiving my credential in moderate to severe disabilities. It was an assignment in my math class.

When I divorced after 27 years. I published the first Queen Vernita’s Visitors naming it after my grandmother and adding all the children in the family. I had not planned on publishing any other books.

Since 2008, I have now published 13 books, and been included in 3 Anthologies. I have won over 80 international awards, 20 for my screenplays, and I will be heading to the Philippines, Germany, and China next year for festivals. My books are being read all over the world, including Germany, France, Canada, Poland, The United Arab Emirates, Africa, and the US. They are being used to help Immigrants from China, Mexico, and Africa become fluent English learners.

I will be going to Italy in July to an author retreat and giving a workshop to the Italian students.

I also began working on my PhD in Education when I became divorced. I have sat on committees helping others receive theirs and Lecture at the local university.
