Dr. Sruthi Balammagary's journey from Hyderabad to the forefront of innovation is a remarkable one. With a PhD in Information Technology and 14 years of software engineering experience, she has established herself as a leading expert in AI, cybersecurity, and healthcare.
Beginning her career as a Systems Engineer at Infosys in Hyderabad, Dr. Balammagary quickly demonstrated an exceptional ability to deliver complex software solutions. Her ambition led her to the United States, where she went on to build enterprise-grade applications at some of the most iconic names in technology Apple, Cisco Systems, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, before joining Comcast in Philadelphia, where she currently serves as Senior Software Engineer. Across each role, she brought deep expertise in Java, Scala, Python, Spring Boot, Angular, and cloud-native solutions on AWS.
But Dr. Balammagary has never been content with engineering alone. In 2024, she earned her Ph.D. in Information Technology from the University of the Cumberlands, completing a dissertation titled “Addressing IT Failures in Autonomous Cars: Strategies for Complex Driving Situations,” a timely and critical contribution to the future of self-driving technology.
Dr. Balammagary’s research has been widely published across prestigious journals and IEEE conferences. She is also a co-author of the book Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems and holds a patent for an IoT-enabled predictive maintenance system using TinyML and edge-based anomaly detection, filed and published in 2025.
As a keynote speaker, she has shared her insights on the rise of Agentic AI and the importance of equity in tech with global audiences, most notably at the NextGen Tech Conference in Myanmar and the Official Cybersecurity Summit in Philadelphia.
