1. Can you share with our readers a brief overview of your entrepreneurial journey? What inspired you to start your own business, and how did you overcome initial challenges?Â
I have always had a passion for health & fitness! But after being a manager at a gym for a few years, I realized that women weren't getting all the help I felt they deserved or needed in a traditional gym setting. I wanted to build a business that helped women not only with nutrition & training, but also with functional lab testing, mindset work, and a different level of accountability. One of the initial challenges was people thinking that in-person coaching was the way to get them to their goals best. But after clients spend a few weeks in our program, they appreciate our holistic viewpoint on their health journey and how much quicker they see progress!Â
2. Many aspiring entrepreneurs struggle to scale their businesses to six figures and beyond. What key strategies or tactics did you implement that you believe were instrumental in achieving this level of success?Â
The first thing I did when I wanted to start my own company was hire a business mentor. I think if you truly want to succeed, and succeed quickly, invest in yourself to learn from people that have done it before you. Secondly, make sure you are in a business that you truly have a passion for. It's easy to get burned out, but when you love what you do day in and day out, you can't help but keep striving for success.Â
3. Building a strong brand and online presence is crucial in today's digital age. How did you develop and promote your brand to attract high-paying clients or customers?Â
Showing up regularly and confidently on social media is key nowadays. I love talking about my program and all the amazing client transformations we've had. But honestly, more importantly, I have loved providing free education and value to the people that consume my content.Â
4. As an entrepreneur, one often faces setbacks and obstacles. Can you share a significant hurdle you encountered along the way and how you managed to navigate through it?Â
Yes, I think this is inevitable, but helps you grow stronger as an entrepreneur! In my first year in business, I spent a lot of time trying to hire team members to help me grow. But, sometimes the first people you hire aren't going to be the people that line up with the future vision of your business! So I think firing my first two people and spending a ton of time finding the right fits for those positions (and then hiring another 2 more) was the hardest, but best thing that has happened! Spend the time trying to nd the right ts on the front end and take the time to train them properly. It's time well spent that will pay you back tenfold.Â
5. Women entrepreneurs often encounter unique challenges in the business world. What advice do you have for other women aspiring to reach six-figure success in entrepreneurship and overcome gender-related obstacles?Â
Be unapologetically YOU. Entrepreneurship is already draining enough, so don't waste your time trying to be someone that you are not. Spend time honing in on your craft, became damn good at what you do, and people can't help but be attracted to you no matter what. www.facebook.com/shannon.salge
