Every movement of the pencil and the mix of colours in the canvas relaxes our muscles and brain. Therapy through colors clears our minds and allows space to organize our ideas and thoughts. It is very rewarding to complete a painting and realize we are all creating something new and different. Everyone can create and do art for their own. Every color has a meaning and people related to an emotion, place or moment in our lives.
I always remember the research I did for my Science class in High School: Therapy through the color blue. I gave different exercises to students in which they must draw and paint with all colors. For example, many students related the blue color with the beach, sun and their family. Others use the black color to paint abstract forms and do lines. In addition, I noticed they use the red color to draw people in movement and food. At the time they finish their drawing or painting I could see them more quiet and calm in their chairs. Furthermore, when I was an art student I was part of a study that everything had to be painted with the green color. I did a painting using green tones and abstract forms related to the sky. One of my paintings was exhibited in the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico at that time.

Since elementary school I noticed I was very anxious and always thinking about everything. With time it was more complicated to complete a task without thinking about it too much before really doing it. I took courses in painting with my brother and we both spend time reading about painters and art. He was more figurative and more precise with the details. I was more abstract and center in the colors. We won several art contests in our hometown.
With time I concentrated on studying Journalism and he finished his bachelor degree in Arts.
Time has passed and now with the daily routines and stress in my job I encountered painting very relaxing. Without any expectations, just painting to liberate my emotions, desires and unconsciousness.
