Reinventing Myself With an Upgrade: Doing It All and Loving It

Many people think reinvention means walking away from one business in order to start another. But what if there's another option- what if we can do it all? Run a business while building a personal brand. That's what I did- and I'm loving it.

I’m a skincare founder and CEO. I built my company around slow, sensorial rituals and reef-safe values with products designed to be experienced luxuriously. The brand grew and from the outside, it looked like I had found my lane.

What shifted wasn’t the business. It was me.

Over time, I realized my deepest passion wasn’t only skincare- it was how I build, and how I wanted to share it. The way I designed my business is that it fit into my daily life instead of demanding escape from it. I found myself thinking about burnout, pressure, and the quiet grief of building something successful that still feels unsustainable, and I knew that it wasn't for me. I needed patient, slow, steady growth.

That’s when I knew I wasn’t done evolving.

Reinventing myself didn’t mean starting over. It meant upgrading the lens.

Instead of launching something entirely new, I expanded the conversation around what already existed. I kept my skincare company running. I stayed visible. I didn’t disappear for a dramatic rebrand or pretend I was someone else. I simply zoomed out and began looking back at what had always been there and bringing it into the present.

The truth is, my brand was never just about products. It was about presence. About choosing fewer things and doing them with more care. About honoring natural rhythms instead of fighting them.

Thought leadership didn’t pull me away from my business- it clarified it, and translated my vision into something transformative on a daily basis.

What stayed the same through all of this were my values. I’ve always believed growth should offer support for your life, and success doesn’t need to come from depletion. Whether I’m working on my brand or offering advice, I care about emotional, creative, and financial sustainability. My work is still rooted in intention, sensory experience, and an unapologetic resistance to hustle culture that asks us to sacrifice ourselves for momentum.

The biggest mindset shift that made this reinvention possible was letting go of the need to be easily categorized.

I asked myself, “Will this confuse people?”

Now I ask, “Can I live like this long-term?”

That single question changed everything.

It gave me permission to hold more than one role, as a founder and a guide. I can evolve publicly without erasing my past. I am building a personal brand that grows alongside my life instead of boxing me into a static identity and spreading myself too thin.

Reinvention doesn’t have to be separate from who you are and what you have built. Sometimes it’s simply an upgrade- clearer language, deeper alignment, and the courage to let yourself expand without apology.

And sometimes, the most powerful way forward is realizing you don’t need to leave anything behind at all.
