Reinvention in the AI Era: Choosing Connection Over Fear

For more than 25 years I’ve been building my career in digital marketing. I founded and scaled a successful agency, worked with hundreds of clients, and taught thousands of entrepreneurs how to think strategically about growth. I charged premium retainers and delivered high-level strategy and execution.

Then AI changed everything.

Tasks that once required teams, timelines, and large budgets could suddenly be executed in seconds. Campaign plans, copy drafts, research summaries, persona profiles… the speed was unprecedented. The quality was actually usable. The disruption was real.

I felt it immediately. The industry I had mastered was evolving faster than anything I had experienced in digital.

I had a choice. I could cry “AI took my job”, or I could reinvent myself alongside the technology.

I chose reinvention.

I immersed myself in AI tools and began building what I now call Catalyst, an AI Marketing Companion. It’s a system trained on decades of strategic thinking and successful plans, built to help entrepreneurs grow faster and with less overwhelm.

As I built these systems, something unexpected happened.

I realized the greatest value I could offer was no longer doing the marketing for clients. It was teaching them how to build and use these tools themselves while guiding them strategically and holding them accountable as humans.

That realization led to the creation of Catalyst.

Today, through Catalyst, I help entrepreneurs and marketing teams integrate AI tools into their businesses while staying grounded in strategy, clarity, and purpose. We use AI to accelerate execution, but we anchor everything in their North Star, the deeper vision behind why someone is building their business in the first place.

The thing is… AI can generate content.

It can organize ideas. It can analyze data. But it will never replace human connection.

It cannot sit across from an entrepreneur who is doubting herself and remind her why she started. It cannot see the brilliance in someone’s idea before they fully believe it. It cannot hold space for ambition, fear, vision, and growth all at once.

We need human connection now more than ever. As technology accelerates, people crave meaning, accountability, and real conversation. That is where I focus my energy.

Ironically, this reinvention has been far more fulfilling than running an agency ever was. Instead of delivering campaigns and reports, I get to connect deeply with founders and business owners. I get to help them clarify their dreams and build the systems to bring those dreams to life. It feeds my soul in a way that pure execution never did.

AI created an unexpected transformation in my life. It allowed me to create a deeper connection with the humans that operate the businesses I grow.

Reinvention in the AI era is about elevating what makes us human and using these tools to expand our impact.

That is the work I am devoted to now.
