Shannon Salge

Shannon has always had a passion for health & fitness! But after being a manager at a gym for a few years, she realized that women weren't getting all the help she felt they deserved or needed in a traditional gym setting. She wanted to build a business that helped women not only with nutrition & training but also with functional lab testing, mindset work, and a different level of accountability. One of the initial challenges was people thinking that in-person coaching was the way to get them to their goals best. But after clients spend a few weeks in her program, they appreciate her holistic viewpoint to their health journey and how much quicker they see progress!

The first thing she did when she wanted to start her own company was hire a business mentor. She believes that if one truly wants to succeed, and succeed quickly, they should invest in themselves to learn from people who have done it before them. Secondly, she ensures that she is in a business that she truly has a passion for. It's easy to get burned out, but when one loves what she does day in and day out, she can't help but keep striving

for success.

Showing up regularly and confidently on social media is key nowadays. She loves talking about her program and all the amazing client transformations they've had. But, more importantly, she has loved providing free education and value to the people who consume her content. Shannon believes that encountering significant hurdles along the way is inevitable but helps one grow stronger as an entrepreneur. In her first year of business, she spent a lot of time trying to hire team members to help her grow. But, the first people she hired weren't going to be the ones that aligned with the future vision of her business! So, she thinks that firing her first two hires and spending a ton of time finding the right fits for those positions (and then hiring two more) was the hardest but best thing that has happened! Spending the time trying to find the right fits on the front end and taking the time to train them properly is time well spent that will pay back tenfold.

Her advice for other women aspiring to reach six-figure success in entrepreneurship and overcome gender-related obstacles is to be unapologetically themselves. She believes that entrepreneurship is already draining enough, so they shouldn't waste their time trying to be someone they are not. They should spend time honing in on their craft, become exceptionally good at what they do, and people can't help but be attracted to them no matter what.
