Founder/President of The Pincus Group, Inc.

Aileen Pincus founded the Pincus Group, after more than two decades of experience in journalism, politics and public relations. Aileen now coaches senior executives and officials from around the country on how to match the power of their communications to the power of their ideas.

Aileen Pincus opened her communications coaching firm after a successful television reporting career, after running communications for a US Senator, and after work at global public relations agency. The Pincus Group, a provider of executive and professional communications coaching to for profit, not for profit and NGO’s around the country, has even branched out internationally to bring best practices in communication to wider audiences.

“Each of my career steps required using the same skill muscles” Ms. Pincus said. “At the heart of every profession, powerful communication skills are the tools that make the real difference in impact. There’s nothing I enjoy more than helping others develop their full potential as communicators and using those new skills to achieve their goals.”

Ms. Pincus says she was drawn to journalism originally because of what the writer Matthew Arnold called it’s “history in a hurry” mission. “Getting to cover the movers and shakers in society from every field is an exciting privilege and it suited me. It wasn’t long though before I began to realize even movers and shakers aren’t always the best communicators.” That’s when the idea to help others develop their skills began to take root. Eventually, The Pincus Group, was born and quickly established itself as one of Washington DC’s premiere communications coaching and consulting firms.

“It’s really about helping others get comfortable in telling their story” Ms. Pincus said. “It doesn’t matter whether you’re a Senator, a CEO or a new hire, whether you’re a Fortune 500 legacy company or a startup, all want to be understood and to have real impact on those listening.”

Today, the Pincus Group works with diverse companies, agencies, NGO’s and non-profits on everything from investor presentations and keynote speeches to preparing individuals for media appearances, book tours, and Congressional testimony.

“It was Sinclair Lewis who said, the greatest mistake in communication is thinking it’s taken place. My goal is to help people make sure that doesn’t happen, especially in the moments they most need to heard and understood.”
