Sustainable Health for Real Life

We are often overwhelmed today by an over abundance of health guidance to choose from.
As a wholistic health practitioner providing support for people seeking sustainable wellness for many years, I have found that keeping it simple is the key to helping them achieve their goals.
It can become an effortless and pleasurable experience to achieve truly sustainable optimum health, fitness and complete wellbeing without pain, strain or forced motivation.
Gradually we can start to see real change, real results for life. Real life.
It inevitably happens once we have experienced the power of using simplicity in all of our health practices. We find ourselves ‘running on all four cylinders’.
I have found that it's most effective to guide wellness seekers through the traditional mind, body, spirit focal process but moving over and above by also incorporating a strong theme of 'person centred' practices. Their personality type, body clock, relationships with food, cultural and subcultural backgrounds all play a part in achieving health sustainability.
I have no doubt that approaching health in a wholistic way (considering the whole person’s being and lifestyle) will allow optimum health to flow easily with their natural rhythms. Real life tends to ebb and flow.
Wellness habits that stands the test of time
The Intentional Morning routine
This sets the day up for positivity making it easier to sustain all of our healthy habits.
I always recommend creating a routine by choosing activities that work best for the type of 'morning person' people are.
For highly sensitive people, it can be nurturing to start the day with gentle nervous system support such as bed yoga or dream journaling, gradually progressing into more stimulating activities.
Those 'get up and go' folk benefit from loud, happy and motivating music or a few minutes of active movement like Chigong to best ground them for a good start to the day.
Spiritual Practice
A deep sense of soul purpose is simply good for people's health, no matter if they practice religion, new age or mother earth based belief systems.
It is extremely valuable to deeply embrace their spirituality while choosing healthy activities to ensure they are getting a wider range of benefits.
This spiritual work can be as simple as focused thought (meditation), choosing activities for daily life that also benefit others. Volunteering or getting involved in community based events provides this key element to their ongoing sense of soul serenity.
Complete Life Balance Planning
In this ever demanding world we live in, I am often asked "How can I avoid getting sucked into the burnout culture in health?".
My top tip is setting a really enjoyable weekly routine schedule. Fill your calendar with a great balance of productivity tasks set for your most energetic times of the month and week. Be sure to schedule in your fitness, relaxation, and fun social time too. I always remind people not to forget to leave some time slots blissfully open!
I find that people really want to know, and experience for themselves what truly sustainable wellness actually looks like! They are tired of braving yet another fitness fad or health product phase and just want to stop being at war with their motivation levels.
My answer to this is that they need complete freedom of flexibility and choice.
A no-pressure routine is what keeps it enjoyable and this equates to being sustainable for the long term.
Will-power is not required after the holidays, a challenging life event or busy work period, because it becomes a second nature desire to return to their usual awakened reality - kept strong and grounded by their beautiful and unique life routine.
