On a daily basis, wake up with gratitude and be thankful for coming alive into the new day. Seek opportunity to better yourself and help others reach their potential. Becoming you, best self is a process, a journey, not a destination. You are always arriving, always being, and always doing. Each day before leaving the office, write down a list of things that you need to do the next day and then rate them from one to three with one being the highest priority. If possible, complete the high priority items first, don’t multitask but attempt to finish what you start. Each week, review what you accomplished and make adjustments to your weekly plan.

Make it a routine to meditate, seek out nature when possible and unwind with colleagues and loved ones.

Develop the necessary tools that consistently fuel productivity by reading Harvard Business Review articles and watching positive success stories in your field. Never stop learning and do not let yourself become complacent.

Creativity has to be part of your mantra. Develop new in-vogue projects, expand current product lines for advertising, and create free press releases. Creativity comes into play in the alpha stage which occurs as soon as you wake up. Attempt to jot things down or send yourself a message to stay active in your creative pursuits.

Long-term business success will be based upon short-term tactical decisions. Create a plan for a certain period, say five to ten years out, then break this timeframe down into yearly and monthly goals and objectives. Each day work on something that helps you achieve your goals while also planning something for the future to achieve your goals.

In my book Mindsense, published by Business Expert Press, I develop thirteen chapters that help bring your best self. “Mindsense is a group of ideas and concepts orbiting around a core of positive self-regard and being present in the moment.”

How can chapter one help you become a better entrepreneur? The most important obstacle to an enlightened life is a mind that continues to sabotage your current moment with thoughts of the past and concerns for the future.

Chapter two helps you also because the one thing that all personal development experts agree upon is goal setting. Set goals, but ensure that you make a presence in the moment. First, set a goal that you will achieve that is something that you strive for. Then, add a process goal or an action plan to achieve that goal that you can do each day.

Chapter three gives you the chance to help you get rich, but the book also is written to help you achieve enlightenment, an essence of being that makes living a life of enjoyment, but, along the way, if you collect enough money to be happy, more power to you.

Chapter four encourages you to wonder, to dream, to create, and to expand your options to transcend yourself to special places that you love to visit.

The rest of the book helps entrepreneurs become more enlightened. Offering a sense of becoming more authentic and developing a sense of essence. This awakening helps entrepreneurs feel free of criticism and comparison of others and helps them stay focused on their business and personal life.
