If you’ve ever felt like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders, I want you to know… you’re not alone.
Maybe your days look full and busy, but inside you feel like you’re running on empty. Maybe you’ve spent so long being everything for everyone else that you’ve forgotten who you really are.
I’ve been there. For years, I believed success meant keeping busy, staying surrounded by people, and proving I could handle it all. I wore a cape every day, trying to cover up how lost I felt inside.
But the truth is, the cape doesn’t protect us. It hides us.
Underneath my cape, I was struggling with shame, addiction, and the fear that if anyone saw the real me, they’d leave.
It took a breaking point in August 2022 for me to realize that God never asked me to carry that weight. One day, after a moment that shattered me in front of my children, I woke up and heard a voice deep in my spirit whisper, “There’s more for you.”
So I started taking small steps. I began reading, praying, journaling, and facing the parts of me I’d kept buried for years. It wasn’t instant and it wasn’t easy, but day by day, God started peeling back the layers and reminding me who He created me to be.
And here’s what I’ve learned:
There’s a woman inside you, too — the woman God designed long before the world tried to tell you who you should be. She’s strong, worthy, loved, and whole. She’s been buried under labels, expectations, past mistakes, and the roles you’ve been playing for everyone else.
Taking off the cape isn’t just about slowing down. It’s about surrendering the belief that you have to earn love, prove your worth, or hide your scars. It’s about letting God heal you from the inside out, mind, body, and soul, so you can step into the life you were created to live.

In September 2023, I surrendered my life to God fully. Now, almost three years since my wake-up call, I am 17 months sober and for the first time, I love who I am and who I’m becoming. Today, I lead a movement called MBS | The Woman Beyond The Cape to remind women like you that your value is unshakeable because it comes from God, not the world.
So I want to ask you…
Who are you beneath the cape you’ve been wearing?
Because your past doesn’t get to define your future. The mistakes you’ve made, the roles you’ve played, and the burdens you’ve carried do not write the final chapter of your story. God can redeem every piece of your life and use it to help set others free.
If I can take off my cape, so can you.
You don’t have to stay hidden any longer.
Take off the cape. Let God show you the woman you were always meant to be.
I’m endlessly rooting for you.
