In the land once known as Arabia Felix—what the Romans called the Happy Arabia and the world now knows as Yemen—the story of Double O Fragrance begins. Long before their signature scents would grace vanities in Manhattan and beyond, sisters Omaya and Omayma were young girls weaving through the vibrant tapestry of the local bazaar, hand-in-hand with their mother, enchanted by the world of scent.

They remember it vividly: the heady blend of oud and rose, the glittering vials of amber oil, the gentle chaos of the marketplace. These weren't mere shopping trips. They were rituals. Their mother, a quiet artisan, sourced raw ingredients to compose perfumes for family, friends, and eventually, to sell across the Arabian Gulf. Watching her blend scent with intuition and care, Omaya and Omayma began to understand something that would shape their lives: fragrance isn’t just chemistry—it’s storytelling.

“We learned early on that each note—jasmine, musk, amber—had a personality,” says Omayma. “But when brought together in harmony, they became something more. A memory. A mood. A message.”

As they came of age, the sisters traveled the world together—curious, wide-eyed, forever bonded by scent. They collected fragrances like postcards, studying how culture and identity shaped the way people adorned themselves with perfume. But it wasn’t until they settled in New York City, with years of experience and an unwavering creative vision, that Double O was born.

Now women-owned and operated in Manhattan, Double O Fragrance is a celebration of contrasts and connection: the bold romance of the East meets the vibrant elegance of the West. Each bottle holds a whisper of heritage, a trace of history, and a generous pour of artistry.

Their debut composition, Velvet Bloom, is a floral masterpiece—soft yet daring, layered with texture and depth. It speaks to the brand’s essence: classic ingredients like rose and musk reimagined for the modern lover.

“Our scents are for people who lead with feeling,” Omaya explains. “They’re made to anchor your presence, not overpower it.”

At the heart of Double O is more than just perfume. It's a return to ritual—a love letter to the women before them, the places that raised them, and the global language they use to share it all: scent. “Crafting fragrance is our way of offering beauty to the world,” says Omayma. “Every bottle is a gift. A story. A memory in the making.”

From the bustling souks of Yemen to the sleek shelves of New York, the sisters behind Double O continue to blend memory, mystery, and mastery—inviting us all to experience confidence, sensuality, and self-expression in its most timeless form.
