In a sport steeped in tradition, three sisters are bringing fresh energy, creativity, and heart to the game. Lindsey, Whitney, and Kathryn — each with her own distinct personality, passion, and expertise — joined forces in 2015 to take their talents to StoneWater Golf Club in Highland Heights. What began as a shared vision between siblings has evolved into one of Northeast Ohio’s most vibrant destinations for golf, dining, and community connection.

Three sisters running a business together may be unconventional, but so are they. Their collaboration has transformed StoneWater into something far beyond a golf club — a lively and inclusive experience that celebrates people as much as the game itself.

Since opening in 1996, StoneWater has been recognized as one of the region’s premier semi-private golf clubs. Under their leadership, it has expanded into an award-winning course paired with a thriving restaurant, a buzzing backyard bar, and a sought-after event venue that hosts everything from weddings and corporate gatherings to family celebrations and community fundraisers.

Together, they have reimagined what a golf club can be — approachable, dynamic, and rooted in connection. Lindsey drives the vision and keeps StoneWater evolving with new ideas and partnerships. Whitney ensures every experience feels special, shaped by her appreciation for detail and hospitality. Kathryn, who turned a family passion into her career, grounds it all with warmth and a genuine sense of belonging.

Their leadership also reflects a deeper mission — to change perceptions of golf and make it a welcoming space for women. As Lindsey says, golf is more than a sport. It’s a conversation starter, a community builder, and a space where strategy, patience, and skill collide. At StoneWater, that belief is embedded in everything they do — from the women’s leagues that foster friendship and mentorship to the approachable lessons and events that invite new players to discover the game for the first time.

For many women, stepping onto the course is about more than perfecting a swing. It’s about building confidence, creating community, and finding a few hours of calm in a world that rarely slows down. The sisters understand that balance. They’ve seen firsthand how golf can connect people — between meetings, between generations, and between friends who come together to unwind. When she feels confident picking up a club, she’s entering a space that once felt off-limits — and helping to redefine it for others who follow.

That ethos extends beyond the fairways. StoneWater has become a true community hub — a place where guests linger after a round to share stories over dinner, families gather by the firepit, and new friendships form with every visit. Whether she’s an avid golfer, a casual diner, or someone simply looking for connection, there’s a place for her here.

At its core, StoneWater represents their belief that golf is about connection — with nature, with family, and with community. They’ve built a place that reflects that spirit in every way, combining excellence with experience and creating an environment where people want to stay, celebrate, and return.

And their impact goes beyond the business. By modeling collaboration, confidence, and creativity, Lindsey, Whitney, and Kathryn are helping reshape the culture of golf itself. They’re proving that leadership in this space can look — and feel — different. It can be inclusive. It can be joyful. It can be women-led.

The future of golf, it turns out, isn’t defined by scorecards or tradition. It’s defined by women like these — sisters, leaders, and visionaries — creating spaces where everyone belongs.
