Winning on Your Own Terms: Redefining Success Through Community

Founder of The Power Table

For years, I chased the traditional markers of entrepreneurial success: revenue goals, passive income, social media followers, and the validation that comes with building a thriving online business. By those metrics, I was successful. I had built a business that was profitable, and I had a growing audience that engaged with my content. But despite all of that, I felt alone.

I remember sitting in my home office one day, staring at my computer screen, and realizing that I felt incredible alone. I had no one to brainstorm with, no one to celebrate wins with, and no one to turn to when I felt stuck. I had built a business, but I hadn’t built a community.

That moment was a turning point for me. It was when I realized that success wasn’t just about what I could achieve on my own—it was about what I could create with others.

Redefining Success

For me, success stopped meaning the same thing when I realized that the traditional metrics—money, followers, and accolades—weren’t enough to make me feel fulfilled. I wanted more than just individual success. I wanted to be part of something bigger.

That realization led me to create The Power Table, a global community of women entrepreneurs who come together to connect, collaborate, and grow. Through events, masterminds, and retreats, we’ve built a space where women can share their wins, support each other’s goals, and celebrate collective success.

I’ve learned that success isn’t a solo journey—it’s a shared experience. As women, we measure wins differently today. It’s not just about hitting revenue goals or landing big clients. It’s about creating impact, building relationships, and lifting each other up.

There’s a quote I love that says, “Lighting someone else’s candle doesn’t dim your own—it only makes the room brighter.” That’s the philosophy behind The Power Table. When one woman wins, we all win.

Measuring Wins Differently

Women today are redefining what it means to win. We’re moving away from the hustle culture that prioritizes individual achievement at all costs and embracing a more holistic view of success.

For most women, winning isn’t just about the bottom line—it’s about the relationships we build, the lives we impact, and the legacy we leave behind. It’s about creating a business that aligns with our values and allows us to show up as our authentic selves.

The Internal Win That Changed Everything

The most important win in my journey wasn’t a revenue milestone or a business achievement—it was the moment I realized I didn’t have to do it alone.

Building a community has been the most fulfilling part of my entrepreneurial journey. It’s given me the opportunity to connect with incredible women, learn from their experiences, and celebrate their successes. It’s also taught me that success isn’t a finite resource. There’s room for all of us to win, and when we support each other, we all rise higher.

That internal shift—from focusing on individual success to embracing collective success—has changed everything for me. It’s given me a sense of purpose and fulfillment that I never found in traditional metrics of success.

Final Thoughts

Winning on your own terms means redefining success in a way that aligns with your values, your goals, and your vision for your life. For me, that means building a community where women can connect, collaborate, and celebrate each other’s wins.

If you’re feeling stuck or unfulfilled, I encourage you to take a step back and ask yourself: What does success mean to me? What kind of impact do I want to create? And how can I bring others along on this journey?

When we choose to celebrate and support each other, we create a ripple effect of success that illuminates the path for everyone around us.
