Writing:An open door for healing.

The most difficult thing about writing is starting. There's no magic or perfect solution. There's no need to be too precise, just say what you have to say in an honest way. As a second language, I’ve encountered difficulties with grammar, in the accent when we speak, in the way we explain and give meaning to some words. English gave us the opportunity to communicate with people across the world. However, many words have the same meaning for different actions.

The most difficult is writing something powerful or something we can relate to. We live in a world with constant wars, people suffering from hunger and sickness, people killing other people for money, drugs or to have more power over others. There's constant problems referring to the politics and dictators trying to conquer other countries. They want all the money and resources just to satisfy themselves. On the other side, people who are dying are waiting for the end and others are fighting to stay alive. And there's people who only want to be heard.

When we want to write something as a statement or storytelling, we focus on a topic, describe it, make or solve the problem; or let the problem be resolved by the reader. Let the reader be the judge.

The most difficult thing about writing is trying to have everything figured out. We start with an idea and then rewrite it and rewrite it until we feel really satisfied.

The most difficult thing about writing is trying to be perfect. There's no perfection. Nobody can archive this term. We are always going to find a mistake and somebody is going to think there's something wrong or good about it. It’s about perspective. We have subjective people who have different opinions, bias, and baggage according to our life experiences, our lectures, the people we surround ourselves with and where we came from. The opportunities we have had in life are not the same and it give us a different side of the story. So there is nothing right or wrong. There's just an angle of the story, a part of the reality, a part of the version of the truth. And what is the truth? Just an invention of ourselves.

The most difficult thing about writing is we can constantly procrastinate, doing what we have to do, looking for the perfect moment or time for writing. Comparing ourselves to others would not let us grow and make the mistakes that leads us to achieve our goals.

Just take the time when others are taking their break at work, just write on your cellphone or in a napkin; just write when you can’t sleep or feel overwhelmed. Just do it. Everything is possible as long as we keep breathing.

Deposit all your thoughts in the paper, paper can hold everything you write on. You are leaving part of you and giving the most intimate: your thoughts… your mind. Writing connects us and shows us the world, how to resolve problems or analyze them. Writing is seeing through the glass and just capturing what the glass, our eyes and our own perspective let us know.

Writing has helped my brain breathe and to stop overthinking. It is like taking vitamins for your body but instead of the body they are vitamins for your brain.

When I write I feel disconnected from the reality I'm living and connect to other dimensions or worlds that come alive through imagination. Writing let us be a creator, a creator of our own reality, a creator of a new or alternative reality. Is the way to say the things we are most afraid to say or more difficult to explain. It is the way to let people know I'm alive through words and can speak for others.
