Building Human Connection in an Automated World

I spent years chasing performance at the highest level. As a former NFL athlete, I learned quickly that success comes from consistency, discipline, and doing the things others are unwilling to do repeatedly. What I didn’t realize at the time was that those same principles would later shape my entrepreneurial journey.

After football, I found myself searching for purpose and direction. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced setbacks, uncertainty, and moments where the easier option would have been to quit. But one thing became very clear to me early on: in a world becoming more automated and digital every day, genuine human connection was becoming increasingly rare.

That realization became the foundation for Simply Noted.

When we started the company, many people thought handwritten mail was outdated. Businesses were focused entirely on email funnels, digital ads, and automation. But I believed something important was missing. People were overwhelmed with notifications, advertisements, and AI-generated communication. Very few brands were making customers feel seen, appreciated, or remembered.

A handwritten note changes that.

What started as a simple idea eventually evolved into a technology company focused on scaling authentic human connection. Today, Simply Noted helps businesses automate real handwritten communication using proprietary robotics, software, and workflows that allow organizations to send personalized handwritten notes at scale while still preserving the emotional impact of a real pen-to-paper experience.

Over the years, we’ve worked with businesses across industries including nonprofits, healthcare, real estate, automotive, home services, and enterprise organizations. We’ve seen firsthand how meaningful communication strengthens relationships, increases loyalty, and drives measurable business growth.

But the journey was far from easy.

Like many founders, I bootstrapped the business through uncertainty, long nights, and constant problem-solving. There were moments where cash flow was tight, partnerships failed, and growth felt painfully slow. Entrepreneurship has a way of exposing every weakness you have — mentally, emotionally, and financially.

What kept me going was a belief that building something meaningful requires resilience. Legacy is not built during easy seasons. It’s built through persistence when things become difficult.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that technology itself is not the advantage anymore. Access to AI, automation, and tools is becoming available to everyone. The true differentiator moving forward will be the businesses and leaders who know how to combine technology with authentic human experiences.

That is where the future is headed.

As AI continues to transform industries, I believe human connection will become more valuable, not less.

Companies that win will be the ones that create trust, personalization, and emotional impact at scale. People still want to feel appreciated. They still want relationships. They still remember how you made them feel.

That belief continues to guide everything we build.

Beyond business growth, my mission is to help entrepreneurs understand that success is not only about revenue or recognition. It’s about building something that creates impact long after you’re gone. A true legacy is built through people, relationships, and the value you leave behind.

For me, this journey has never just been about handwritten notes. It has always been about helping people reconnect in a world that increasingly feels disconnected.

And I believe we are only getting started.
