To start things off… We’re Nancey Harris and Tracy Vontélle Green, Co-Founders of Vontélle Eyewear, a luxury eyewear brand that celebrates cultural diversity through bold patterns, vibrant colors, and superior fit. Our mission began when we couldn’t find stylish glasses that fit our faces comfortably—so we designed them! Vontélle offers wider bridges for the nose, longer temples, and larger lenses for high cheekbones, ensuring a perfect fit for diverse facial features. Beyond fashion, our brand represents empowerment, culture, and confidence. Each design tells a story and celebrates heritage. We’re proud to be a Black-owned, women-led business changing the face of eyewear—literally and figuratively.

Vontélle is proud to partner with the NYC Department of Education to provide vision screenings, eye exams, and eyewear to students across the city. Many of these children have never owned a pair of glasses, and seeing clearly can be life-changing for their academic success and confidence. In addition to our DOE partnership, we support Women In Need (WIN)—an organization helping women and families transition out of homelessness. We believe success means giving back and using our platform to uplift our community. Every initiative we take locally is about creating opportunities, promoting visibility, and helping others see a clearer, brighter future.

Globally, Vontélle’s mission extends beyond eyewear—it’s about representation, accessibility, and empowerment. We design glasses that reflect cultural pride and authenticity, reaching communities worldwide who have long been underserved in fashion and fit. We also aim to expand our philanthropic work by donating eyewear and providing vision care access to children and families in need, both in the U.S. and abroad. Our goal is to inspire others to see themselves in our designs, literally and symbolically. By celebrating cultural heritage through our collections, we hope to spark a global conversation about inclusion, beauty, and identity while using our platform to advocate for better vision health for all.

We’re inspired by women who lead with purpose, creativity, and authenticity—trailblazers who are reshaping industries and creating space for others to thrive. Visionary figures like Mika Brzezinski, who empowers women through Know Your Value; Tory Burch, whose foundation uplifts female founders; Felita Harris, Co-Founder and Executive Director of RAISEfashion, advancing equity for BIPOC-owned brands; and Aurora James, Founder of the Fifteen Percent Pledge and Creative Director of Brother Vellies, all embody the power of purpose-driven leadership. Each of these women inspires us to continue building boldly and giving back intentionally.

As for what’s next—there’s so much on the horizon! We recently renewed our partnership and launched a second line with Harlem Haberdashery, continuing our shared celebration of bold, cultural design. We’re also thrilled to unveil a new Romare Bearden collection, honoring the legendary artist whose collages and photomontages captured African American life, history, and culture. And in Q1 2026, we’ll launch our Vontélle Black Label line, representing the next level of craftsmanship and innovation.

These milestones are a testament to growth, collaboration, and vision, and we’re just getting started.
