From Struggle to Unstoppable: A Woman's Journey

Owner, Trio Realty Partners, Inc.

The journey from struggle to success is rarely a straight line. For me, it was a path forged in grit—the kind you find on the mat during a tough martial arts practice and in the trenches of running a thriving real estate company in St. Louis. My name is Tatiana Zagorovski, and my work with Trio Realty Partners is more than just a cash home buyer; it’s about providing clear, respectful solutions, which, surprisingly, is a lesson I learned while facing my own professional rock bottom.

My Turning Point: The Decision to Rise

My professional turning point wasn't a flash of genius; it was the quiet, crushing realization that I was compromising my values to stay afloat. Early on, I tried to fit the aggressive, transactional mold of real estate, chasing deals that felt wrong and partnering with questionable ethics. The stress became suffocating; despite being a black belt, I felt spiritually flabby in business.

The ultimate break came when a major deal collapsed due to a partner's lack of integrity, causing me to lose capital and betray my own code. Standing on the mat one morning, I saw the stark contrast between my disciplined self there and my compromising self in business.

I decided to rise by fighting the need to conform. I rebuilt Trio Realty Partners, Inc., on a foundation of respect, transparency, and black belt tenacity. From that day forward, every interaction had to be rooted in integrity. That was my true turning point.

The Biggest Myth About “Having It All”

The biggest myth about “having it all” is that it means perpetual perfection and balance—an image suggesting success is effortless.

In reality, "having it all" is not a destination; it's a demanding juggling act where balls sometimes drop. I run a company, train martial arts, and invest in my community. There is no perfect 50/50 balance. I strive for integration, not balance, meaning I am fully present wherever I am—focused on the client on the call, or focused on the technique while training.

The truth is, "having it all" means having a strong core—a strong why—that allows you to handle chaos without losing sight of who you are.

It’s about being effective and authentic, not achieving mythical calmness.

How to Stay Unstoppable When Challenges Return

Challenges always return. In the world of real estate investing, market volatility and unforeseen property issues are guaranteed. This is where my martial arts training is my greatest business tool.

When you train for a black belt, you learn how to fall. You don't try to stop the fall; you learn how to redirect the energy, protect yourself, and get back up immediately. That’s how I stay unstoppable:

  • Embrace the Fall: I acknowledge the challenge immediately. I don't waste energy on denial or self-pity. A market slowdown is simply a new problem set—it’s just gravity in business form.

  • Analyze the Technique: After a fall on the mat, you analyze what went wrong. In business, I step back and examine the root cause of the struggle. This analytical detachment is key to effective problem-solving.

  • Return to Foundation: When overwhelmed, I return to my most fundamental principle: deliver honest, transparent solutions. We focus on what we can control—providing fair, fast cash offers and helping homeowners through stressful situations. Focusing on service and integrity grounds me.

I learned that tenacity isn't about never being defeated; it’s about making the decision to get back up one more time than you fall. Being unstoppable isn't about avoiding struggle—it’s about having a tested, reliable strategy for rising every single time.
