It’s July and it is important to note that you are halfway there! You are halfway through the year. You are through two quarters of your opportunity to change, evolve, or ascend this calendar year. Accordingly, this milestone is a great time to be certain that your progress, efforts, and strategies reflect that you are halfway through the time you have to achieve your annual goals this year.
If needed, revisit your:
New Year’s resolutions
Annual operating plan
Strategic plan
Personal goals
Professional goals
One or more of these items may be the compass guiding your efforts this year. As you revisit them, remember your “why.” This is an opportunity to confirm that your “why” is still relevant in the current economic, social, and political context in which you are living. Confirming your “why” will also enable you to account for the headwinds one inevitably faces in any evolving context.
You have also reached a point where you can evaluate:
Your goals
Your progress
Your approach
You can assess whether each of these areas are still aligned with your “why,” vision, needs, and opportunities. Accordingly, ask yourself if a shift is needed by evaluating your goals, progress and approach ensure that you are on pace to realize your vision. Confirm that your goals are still attainable and reasonable for the time remaining in the year.
Examine your approach or tactics to determine if they are resulting in your desired impact and pace.

If an adjustment is needed, be sure to specify the adjustment, establish measures for evaluating the adjustment, and ensure the timeframe is still realistic given the proposed adjustment. Do not leave your progress to chance. Also, don’t let your plans become wishes by failing to ensure the clarity needed to make strategic decisions.
As you contemplate what is needed to accomplish your goals by the end of year, also make sure it is with all of you! Be sure you are bringing all of yourself to your opportunities, vision and “why.”
Be certain that you are fully bringing your talents, strengths and resources to the work! Moreover, do not allow yourself to conclude the year with less of you than you began the year, unless you are relinquishing things that are standing in the way of progress, like low expectations, inconsistency, or limiting beliefs.
This month, affirm your commitment to realizing your vision by making sure that you are halfway there, with all you working to achieve your dreams!
