I Was Beaten, Broken, and Shattered. But I Rose Loud Enough for the Ones Still Whispering.

Victoria Cuore shouldn’t be alive.

She was beaten while pregnant. Shattered by violence so extreme that it left her with over 100 surgeries and the loss of her arm below the elbow. Her abuser tried to break everything: her bones, her spirit, her future. But the one thing he couldn’t silence was her voice.

And today, that voice is a lifeline for millions.

Victoria’s daughter, Faith, was born prematurely due to the trauma she suffered in the womb. By her mother’s side, Faith has already endured more than 50 surgeries of her own. But this mother-daughter duo didn’t just survive, they’ve turned their pain into a purpose that’s touching lives across the globe.

With her husband Michael, a proud U.S. military veteran who shares her heart for service, Victoria founded A Contagious Smile, born from the ashes of personal tragedy. Together, the three of them, Victoria, Michael, and Faith, have created a movement of healing that now includes a brand-new initiative: The A Contagious Smile Online Academy.

This isn't your typical education platform. It’s a sanctuary for the wounded. A lifeline for those who feel forgotten. Designed specifically for survivors, special needs families, veterans, and individuals in recovery, the academy offers free and low-cost trauma-informed courses rooted in lived experience, not theory.

Because Victoria knows what it feels like to have no one. She’s lived through the kind of hurt that money can’t fix and systems often ignore. And she’s made a vow:

No one who’s ready to heal will ever be turned away.

If someone shows up ready to begin again, A Contagious Smile will open the door. But the help doesn’t stop there.

Victoria is the author of dozens of healing-focused books, journals, and trauma workbooks, including her gut-wrenching memoir Who Kicked First and its powerful prequel Narc Narc Who’s There. Through her writing, she gives survivors the words they didn’t know how to say, and the strength to say them out loud.

She’s also the voice behind the globally ranked podcast, A Contagious Smile, now in the top 1% worldwide. Each episode is raw, real, and brave, featuring stories of abuse, resilience, parenting, trauma, disability, and survival. It’s not about perfection. It’s about connections. And for many listeners, it’s the first time they’ve truly felt seen.

Victoria and her family receive no monetary compensation for their work. Their payment? The messages from people who say, “I didn’t give up because of you.” The smile of someone who no longer feels invisible. The moment a whisper turns into a roar.

The A Contagious Smile Online Academy was built for those still whispering. For those who’ve survived the worst and are ready to step into their healing journey.

If you’ve ever felt broken, this is proof that healing is still possible.

If you’ve ever wanted to help someone find their voice again, this is your chance.

Help others by sponsoring a scholarship. Sign up for a course. All of their courses are low-cost, with dozens being FREE, and new courses are added weekly.

Simply remember, even the most shattered lives can rise and rise loud enough for the ones still whispering.
