What Inspired you to write Knight Kisses.

When I first thought about writing Knight Kisses, I wanted to tell the story of someone whose world had been turned upside down. When confronted with a new reality what is it Gabrielle will do. Many would cower and hide, and she tries that, somewhat, but new circumstances soon propel her to assume roles she never imagined she would have to. She must become a protector, a mentor, a mother. And above all, and most disturbing, be the keeper of secrets to shield not only those she cares about, but more importantly, her heart.

Describe your character Gabrielle. What drives her?

Gabrielle is sunshine. She has grown up protected and happy. Her mother, Eleanor, is her world, and her dead father, her mythical hero. She is a loving, kind young woman; attributes that some will exploit wholeheartedly. But she is also strong-willed and resilient and capable of navigating problems when faced with adversity, even if her methods aren’t always sensible decisions. She’s a good mix of wisdom and unpredictability, and she makes absolute sense out of nonsense and sticks to her guns, even when it’s absolutely crazy.

What do you enjoy about writing? What do you find the most challenging?

For me, the submersive world of words, whether writing, reading, editing or listening is as important as any daily chore; sometimes more, as I will neglect housework to rather do something creative. I truly cannot get enough of sitting in front of paper or laptop to create new stories. My biggest challenge is finding time.

What can your readers expect next from you?

I have decided to be bold and daring, so I’m creating a story in my favourite genre, Fantasy. It is a tale of time-travel, sorrow, vengeance, and redemption. Set between the modern world and an ancient Jinn Kingdom, it encompasses the realm of wrong-doings, discovering secrets and truth, and how to make things right.
