Jen Rigley From Surviving to Flourishing in Midlife

By the time Jen Rigley turned 50, life had hurled a storm of challenges her way—career disruptions, health scares, family changes, and the emotional weight of an emptying nest. “It all came at once,” she recalls. “Professional issues, health concerns, relationship shifts. It felt like everything was unraveling at the same time.”
A naturally optimistic, high-achieving woman, Jen found herself in a place she never expected: stuck, exhausted, and deeply questioning whether this was all life had to offer. “I would lie in bed at night wondering, ‘Is this really it?’ After decades of giving, striving, and doing my best, was life supposed to feel so heavy?”
But what makes Jen’s story so powerful is not the adversity—it’s the transformation that followed. She didn’t stay stuck. Instead, she chose to rewrite the narrative and reclaim her life. That choice led to the birth of a movement that has inspired thousands of women worldwide: Flourishing Over Fifty®.
A Movement Born from the Ashes
Flourishing Over Fifty® didn’t begin as a brand—it began as a deeply personal awakening. After being downsized from her executive role, navigating a serious health diagnosis (breast cancer), and losing her mother, Jen emerged with a fire lit inside her. “I knew I had to help others see what I had come to learn: that your past doesn’t define your future. You can begin again—and flourish.”
What started as a message of encouragement has grown into a global movement. Jen is now a sought-after speaker, transformational coach, and creator of The Flourish Journey™, a self-paced program that helps women move from just surviving their midlife years to thriving with intention, clarity, and joy.

What It Really Means to Flourish
So, what does it mean to flourish in midlife?
“Flourishing is about more than just bouncing back,” Jen explains. “It’s about growing forward—choosing to create a life that reflects your values, your strength, and your vision, even after life has knocked you down.”
Drawing from the literal definition—"to grow luxuriantly or thrive”—Jen teaches women how to write a new story from their hearts, not their hurts.
Her message resonates with women everywhere who feel exhausted, invisible, or like they’ve lost their spark. Through her programs, coaching, and community, Jen helps them reclaim their joy, rediscover their voice, and boldly step into what’s next.
The Flourish Journey™: A Pathway to Healing
At the heart of Jen’s work is The Flourish Journey™, a 7-module self-guided course designed to walk women through the process of emotional healing, mindset transformation, and soul-aligned living.
“It’s not about quick fixes or surface-level advice,” she says. “This is a step-by-step process that meets you where you are and walks with you toward a life you actually love.”
Women who complete the program often experience:
Renewed energy and emotional relief: They shed emotional weight they’ve carried for years and begin to feel grounded and calm again.
Clarity on their next chapter: They reconnect with their needs, desires, and what truly brings them joy.
A shift from surviving to thriving: They move beyond burnout into a life filled with meaning.
A personalized transformation plan: Rooted in their truth and aligned with their vision.
The program blends expert guidance with heartfelt storytelling and soulful reflection, offering not just education—but transformation.

The Blocks That Keep Us Stuck
Jen is honest about the mental and emotional blocks that often hold women back—especially in midlife.
“So many women carry beliefs like ‘I’m too old,’ ‘I’ve missed my chance,’ or ‘I’m not strong enough,’” she shares. “We’ve internalized these messages from the media, our families, and even our workplaces.”
That’s why mindset work is foundational in Jen’s Flourish Journey Framework™. “We begin by challenging those beliefs and asking, ‘What if that’s not true? What if I am beautiful, capable, strong, and wise—right now?’”
From Trauma to Transformation
Jen’s own journey through trauma has uniquely shaped her approach. She leads with empathy and authenticity, never sugarcoating the reality of what it takes to heal, but always offering hope.
“I’ve learned that healing isn’t linear. It’s layered, and it’s personal. What women need most isn’t advice—it’s someone who sees them, hears them, and reminds them they’re not alone.”
Her approach is gentle but powerful. “Telling someone to just ‘smile through it’ doesn’t work. What works is guiding them through the process of reconnecting with themselves—and helping them remember that they’re not broken. They’re becoming.”
Embracing Ease Over Perfection
After decades in high-pressure corporate leadership, Jen now centers her life around ease.
“I don’t chase perfection anymore,” she says. “That used to drive everything—achievement, performance, over-functioning. Now I make space for things that nourish me.”
For her, ease looks like slow mornings, time with her family, quiet walks, and space to breathe. It’s no longer about chasing excellence but embracing the kind of life that feels rich, present, and meaningful.

For the Woman Who Feels Stuck
What would Jen say to a woman who’s in the thick of it—burned out, stuck, or unsure of what’s next?
“Start small,” she says. “Get a journal and begin writing down what you want to feel. What brings you joy? What isn’t serving you anymore? It doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be honest.”
And then ask yourself the most important question: If not now, when?
