If there's one thing I’ve learned over the course of my personal and professional journey, it’s this: nothing thrives out of alignment. Not a business, not a body, and certainly not the soul.

Every morning, before my feet even touch the floor, I begin my day with stillness. I don’t leave my bed until I’ve completed at least ten minutes of meditation, sometimes twenty or even thirty, depending on what I need to surrender or work through. That quiet, intentional space gives me the clarity to reset my energy and prepare for what lies ahead. It’s how I set my mindset to consciously create the energy of my day.

This practice doesn’t just support my mental health; it also aligns with my physical well-being. I’ve come to understand, deeply, that the energy I choose to live in each day directly impacts my body. If my thoughts are cluttered or anxious, my body tenses, fatigue sets in, and aches show up. But when I ground myself intentionally, I feel energized, resilient, and far more present in my physical experience. It’s the reason I no longer carry Tylenol in my purse. I don’t need it. I know how to stay attuned and self-regulated because alignment is my medicine.

As I grow my Health & Wellness business, protecting my personal vitality isn’t something I even need to think about. It’s built into the very fabric of my work. My business is a direct expression of my purpose. Every workshop I teach, every breakthrough I witness in a client, all feeds me, not drains me. My vitality comes from doing what I love, serving my purpose. The more I expand in service to others, the more I feel fueled from within.

But it wasn’t always like this.

In 2002, during a routine annual checkup, I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. There were no symptoms. No warning. Just a sudden, life-altering truth. My children were still young at the time, and the thought of leaving them behind shook me awake in a way nothing else could.

That experience forced me to reflect on everything that had led up to that moment, all the negative, self-loathing beliefs that created the stress I had normalized, the people-pleasing, the self-sabotage, the misalignment between who I truly was and who I thought I had to be.

I realized I had abandoned my authentic gifts, talents, and strengths in pursuit of a life that seemed good on the outside but was literally killing me on the inside. I believe, to this day, that these deep-seeded, unconscious beliefs I never realized were driving my lifestyle, is what fed the disease in my body.

But the story didn’t end there.

After surgery, I was told my cancer was “encapsulated.” Later, I was told I was cured; something doctors didn’t think was possible at the time. That miracle wasn’t random. It was a result of healing far beyond the physical. I changed how I lived. I realigned with who I am. I began honoring my inner intelligence and began building a life that nourished me instead of depleting me.

That, to me, is the definition of sustainable success: living in a way that supports health, joy, purpose, and service, all at once.

Today, I help women do the same. When we stop betraying our gifts and start leading by embracing our authenticity, whether in relationships, career, or finances, we tap into something extraordinary. We stop surviving and start thriving

And that is the most powerful success story of all.
