Mirror, Mirror on the Wall…

Lately, with everything unfolding in our world, I’ve been sitting with a quiet question:
How do I continue to grow in a world that sometimes feels uncertain?
Because if I’m honest, there are moments where moving forward feels complicated.
Perhaps even selfish.
I think many of us quietly carry that feeling.
We watch the world.
We carry concern for others.
We see struggle, division, uncertainty, and grief.
And somewhere inside ourselves, we begin shrinking.
We celebrate less.
Dream smaller.
Hold ourselves back.
As though dimming our own light somehow helps others heal.
And yet…
something within me continues to call me forward.
To keep showing up.
To keep becoming.
And now, here we are.
Not at the beginning of the year, where everything felt fresh and full of possibility.
Not at the finish line, where everything has hopefully come together.
But in the middle of it all.
Where the excitement has settled…
and the real work is in progress.
Where doubt may be showing up.
Where motivation may be fading.
And where we must decide…
if we are going to keep going.
Perhaps, like me, you have been feeling the weight of the world lately.
So we ask ourselves:
Is it okay for me to keep growing while others are struggling?
And this is where something shifted for me.
Years ago, Michael Jackson sang:
“If you want to make the world a better place…
take a look at yourself and then make a change.”
Simple.
But not easy.
Because it asks something of us.
It asks us to stop waiting for the world to change…
and to take responsibility for how we are showing up within it.
Not perfectly.
But honestly.
Staying stuck does not help the world.
Becoming more grounded…
more aware…
more aligned…
THAT helps the world.
That changes how you show up.
That changes how you lead.
That changes how you care for others.
So perhaps the real question is not:
“What needs to change out there?”
But:
“What needs to change within?”
Before this day ends, I invite you to do one simple thing.
Pause.
Stand in front of a mirror.
And ask yourself:
What is one small change I know I need to make?
Not tomorrow.
Not next week.
Today.
Then take one small step toward it.
Because this is how change happens.
Not all at once.
Not out there first.
But within you.
Quietly.
Intentionally.
Courageously.
You do not need to have everything figured out.
You simply need to be willing to begin.
Because the world does not need you to stop growing.

It needs more people willing to rise with awareness, compassion, and courage.
Growth is not selfish.
In fact, your healing, your groundedness, and your willingness to evolve may become part of someone else’s hope.
And the most powerful place to begin…
is with the person in the mirror. Because real change begins within.
I hope you will join me in the next issue as we continue this journey together.
Until then, remember: #yougotthis
