A Sanctuary in Sound
When Lisa R. Triggs first stepped behind the microphone, she carried a mission that had been building inside her for years: to speak the truth about menopause as women actually live it. Her intention was clear and deeply personal.
“I was ready to speak openly about the real lived experience of menopause,” Lisa shares. “I wanted to create a space where the conversations felt honest and familiar, where women could finally hear their own stories reflected back to them.”
She envisioned her podcast as a refuge. A place where women could exhale. A place where they could feel understood.
Yet one revelation surprised her more than anything else.
“I discovered how deeply everything is connected. Our symptoms, our emotions, our relationships, our choices. I talk a lot about a chain reaction inside us, how one area spills into the next. That truth revealed itself layer by layer.”
This understanding became the heartbeat of her message and reshaped the purpose of her platform.
The Breaking Point That Became a Beginning
In 2023, Lisa reached a moment that would change the course of her life. Alone in her home, overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted, she found her thoughts circling a painful exit plan. Terrified by the direction her mind was heading, she made the courageous decision to take herself to the hospital.
“I remember sitting alone in a room waiting to be seen,” she reflects. “The staff asked if I wanted to go home, even though I was clearly not okay. That moment woke me up.”
What followed was a profound internal shift.
“I thought, this is not who I am. This is not who I want to be. And no one is going to fix this for me. If my life was going to change, I needed to take responsibility for that change.”
That moment, she says, clarified everything. It was the seed that eventually grew into The Menopause Mindshift. The woman she found in that quiet room is the same woman who leads her mission today.

The Practices That Rebuilt Her Life
Lisa focuses on mindset because mindset saved her. Her tools are not theoretical or borrowed. They are practices she lived her way into, often one painful inch at a time.
“It is hard to choose just one practice because I live by eight of them,” she explains. “They overlap and support one another. I journal while listening to frequency music. I meditate with guided tracks. I use Solfeggio tones to shift my vibration and emotional state.”
But one truth became her turning point.
“I realized how negative my thinking had become. I had been living in a depressed state for over five years. And the hardest truth was realizing I had allowed myself to stay there.”
That awareness became the doorway to transformation.
“Once I saw how my thoughts were shaping my emotional world, I began choosing new thoughts. Women resonate with this because it’s real. I’m not sharing theory. I am sharing what truly helped me transform.”
Relearning Self-Love in the Most Misunderstood Season of Life
For Lisa, self-love is not optional. It is the foundation of everything she speaks to.
“Self-love sits at the heart of my message because I discovered it sits at the heart of my life,” she says. “How I felt about myself influenced everything.”
By the time women reach menopause, she explains, their identities have often shifted or become overshadowed by years of caregiving, routine, and responsibility.
“Choosing yourself looks like prioritizing your mental, physical, and spiritual health. It means taking real time for yourself. It means doing what brings you joy.”
Guilt is common, but she gently guides women to release it.
“If you do not love yourself properly, you cannot fully love others. Self-love is not selfish. It is foundational.”
A Podcast That Feels Like Sitting With a Friend
The intimacy of Lisa’s podcast is part of what makes it so transformative.
“Honesty, openness, and real conversation are essential,” she says. “When I interview guests, it is not scripted. It is a true conversation. I want listeners to feel like they are sitting with us.”
And then, of course, there is the tiara and the pink.
“They represent the version of me who rose after falling. They symbolize strength and identity. Women connect with it because it reflects the power they have within themselves.”
Two Decades of Lived Truth Shared With Honesty
Lisa’s tone, vulnerability, and honesty come from experience, not study.
“Everything I share comes from lived experience,” she explains. “My book is my story. My podcast is my story. I have been through the symptoms, the fear, the confusion, the depression, and the awakening.”
That is why her message carries weight.
“I am not offering a pill or a one-step solution. I am offering a way of living. A mindset. A conscious choice to rewrite your life.”

Rediscovering the Woman Within
While many women feel menopause steals their identity, Lisa believes it brings them home to themselves.
“Rediscovering the woman within is empowering her,” she says. “I call it unleashing your inner Queen. She is not lost. She is buried under years of responsibilities, exhaustion, and expectations.”
Her own awakening came when she recognized her power of choice.
“I realized I always had a choice. A choice in how I viewed my symptoms. A choice in how I responded to life. A choice in the story I was writing.”
Podcasting allows her to share that message with women everywhere.
“It becomes an intimate global conversation about reclaiming yourself.”
Helping Women Hold the Pen Again
As a best-selling author and speaker, Lisa guides women to write their own menopause story with intention and clarity.
“I help women shift by sharing what truly worked for me,” she says. “Writing your own menopause story means living with awareness. Being conscious of your thoughts, your emotions, your habits, your movement, your nutrition.”
There is no single cure, she reminds women, but there is power in choice.
“It is inner work. And when women understand that they get to choose their own story, they begin holding the pen with intention and confidence.”
What It Means to Unleash the Inner Queen
For Lisa, the inner Queen is more than a symbol. It is a way of living.
“Unleashing your inner Queen is stepping into your own power again,” she says. “It means living with awareness, living with choice, and living with intention.”
The moment a woman embraces that identity, everything changes.
“She stops feeling powerless. She stops letting hormones dictate her life. She begins to lead herself. Menopause becomes a transformation instead of a struggle.”
A Voice Reshaping the Podcasting Landscape
As PODCASTARS honors storytellers shaping modern podcasting, Lisa R. Triggs stands as a powerful and necessary voice.
“My responsibility is to speak honestly,” she explains. “Behind the tiara and the pink is a woman who has lived the struggle and the awakening.”
Her mission is expanding.

“My platform will continue to grow into deeper conversations, more education, more mindset tools, and a global message that self-love and empowerment are the future of menopause.”
At the center of everything she stands for is one simple intention.
“My hope is that women begin every day grounded in one intention. To choose themselves.”
