Resilient Redefinition: Turning Disappointment Into Community Impact

After landing what my sister and co-founder, Avery and I believed was our “dream client,” we found ourselves facing the sting of an unexpected contract cancellation. It was a classic setback; one that rattled our confidence! But as so many women founders are doing in 2025, we took that disappointment as a spark instead of a stopping point. The experience became a defining moment not just for our business model, but for our entire sense of what winning really means.
Rather than retreat in disappointment, we turned inward and reached outward, leaning into our team for support and reconnecting with the wider community that had always motivated us. This challenge invited us to focus even more on mission-driven founders, especially women and wellness brands, whose resilience had always inspired us. We showed up more authentically, sharing our own story of loss and renewal in hopes of making space for others to be real, too.
This shift in perspective transformed our struggle into the springboard for some of our most powerful work yet. Instead of focusing solely on one-off wins or landing the biggest clients, we poured our energy into building community-centered campaigns, interactive workshops, and mentorship opportunities that would uplift not just our company but others in our community.
As a women-owned agency, where 90% of the team are women creatives, we are dedicated to nurturing new talent through college internships and ongoing mentorship. Our workshops empower small business owners with essential skills in branding, marketing, and social media, meeting them where they are and helping them thrive.
We knew that thriving in business today is all about the long game, measuring our wins through the growing network of women creatives, clients, and small to medium-sized businesses that we empower to shine!

Our biggest reward now comes from helping others realize their vision. With every collaboration, we see that resilience, teamwork, and a willingness to pivot are the true markers of sustainable success. In 2025, “winning” for us isn’t about a single breakthrough moment; it’s about the consistent, collective progress we achieve together.
Actionable Tip for Women Who Want to “Win”:
Don’t wait for the perfect moment! Create a clear plan, and then move forward. Progress doesn’t come from waiting for the stars to align, but from embracing strategic risks, building a roadmap, and being willing to pivot as you go. Every big win starts with deciding to act, even when things feel uncertain.
