Sloane Davis' Personal Journey

At 55 years old, I have come to understand that wellness is not about perfection — it is about resilience, consistency, and learning how to keep moving forward through every phase of life. My journey in fitness and health has evolved over decades, but the foundation has always remained the same: helping people realize that it is never too late to change your body, reclaim your health, and become stronger than you ever thought possible.
I founded Pancakes & Pushups and SloaneSquad app with that mission in mind. What began as a passion project grew into a wellness platform and community of more than 500,000 followers around the world. What makes that community so meaningful to me is not just the number itself, but the connection behind it. The people who follow me are real people navigating careers, children, stress, aging, hormones, setbacks, injuries, grief, and self-doubt. They are not looking for unrealistic perfection. They are looking for honesty, motivation, guidance, and proof that transformation is possible at any age.
I think so many people connect with my story because my life has not followed a straight line.
At 48, I lost my husband unexpectedly. Overnight, I found myself navigating unimaginable grief while raising my children and stepping in to run his pharmaceutical business. I was also rebuilding my body and my life after major back surgery. There were moments that tested every ounce of strength I had, but those experiences ultimately shaped the way I approach wellness today. They taught me that true health is not about extremes or chasing perfection. It is about resilience, adaptability, and taking care of yourself consistently in ways that are sustainable for the long term.
Recovering from back surgery completely changed the way I viewed fitness, strength, and aging. Recovery was not just physical — it was mental and emotional too. I had to rebuild my body slowly, patiently, and intentionally. There were moments when I questioned whether I would ever feel strong again. That healing process taught me that real strength is not about punishing your body. It is about supporting it, respecting it, and giving it what it needs to heal and thrive.
What I have learned personally — and what I now teach every day — is that building and maintaining muscle is one of the most important things we can do for long-term health and longevity.
Muscle supports metabolism, protects our bones and joints, improves mobility and balance, and helps us maintain independence and quality of life as we get older. Strength is not just about appearance — it is about creating a body that allows you to live fully.
What I love most about Pancakes & Pushups is the opportunity to show people in real time that transformation does not have an expiration date. I rebuilt my strength after surgery. I reinvented myself personally and professionally in my forties and fifties. I moved to New York City and started an entirely new chapter of my life at an age when many people believe reinvention is no longer possible. Through every chapter, fitness remained my anchor.
That journey is what inspired me to create H2Pro+ Protein Water - the first fully functional protein water that tastes like water - which officially launches on May 28th. I created it because it was the product I personally needed but could not find — something clean, refreshing, functional, and designed for real life. H2Pro+ Protein Water combines clear whey protein isolate, fiber, and electrolytes into one simple daily ritual that supports hydration, muscle health, recovery, digestion, and sustained energy without the heaviness or excessive sugar found in traditional protein drinks.
For me, H2Pro+ Protein Water represents far more than a beverage launch. It reflects everything I have learned throughout my journey and the philosophy I have always shared with my community: wellness should feel empowering, not intimidating and to go after your goals!. I want to shift the conversation away from anti-aging and toward active aging — supporting our bodies with movement, nutrition, hydration, and habits that help us stay strong, vibrant, and capable throughout every stage of life.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have more than 500,000 people who trust me enough to turn to me for guidance in their health and fitness journeys. I never take that responsibility lightly. My goal has never been to sell perfection or promote extremes. I believe real transformation happens through small, sustainable choices practiced consistently over time — the workout you almost skipped, the decision to prioritize your health, the commitment to building strength even when life feels overwhelming.

If there is one thing I hope people take away from my story, it is this: it is never too late to start. It is never too late to rebuild your body, regain your confidence, prioritize your health, or create a completely new chapter for yourself. Some of the most powerful transformations happen later in life, when you stop chasing perfection and start building strength — physically, mentally, and emotionally — from the inside out.
