The Confidence Closet

When it comes to style, I believe the real trend is confidence. We are living in a time where blending comfort with power dressing is not only acceptable, it’s aspirational. I love to think business casual meets streetwear with a personal twist. For me, it’s all about mixing pieces that make you feel like your highest self, strong, effortless, bold, and completely authentic to you.
So many times I have women say “I love your outfit, but I could never wear that.” Any my response is always the same, yes you can! You just have to stop dressing for other people’s expectations and acceptance. The moment you stop caring what anyone else thinks and start dressing in alignment with what feels good to you, you begin to radiate differently. You walk taller. You speak with more clear conviction. You start attracting the kind of energy you’ve been searching for. Dressing in alignment with your highest self isn’t about trends (I say be a trend setter) it’s about self love and trust. Trusting and loving yourself enough to wear clothing that makes you feel happy and confident is the end goal.
In my wardrobe I live for the mix! One day it is biker shorts, an oversized tee, a blazer, and some chunky designer sneakers. Another day it’s slouchy tattered boyfriend trousers, a fitted tank, heels, and an oversized blazer. On the weekends a tight summer dress with laced up heels, a formal gown and red lipstick.
Or I am wearing sweatpants, a bandeau top, and converse high tops headed to the gym - and I still feel like me. There are no limits. I don’t restrict myself to one aesthetic or one “way” of dressing, I love myself enough to let every version shine.
I mix and match pieces from all corners of fashion– high end designer, casual, sporty, glamorous, because that’s what feels true to me. If you want to dress in alignment with your highest self, start by asking, what makes me feel powerful? What makes me feel authentic? What makes me feel like me? Fashion I believe is energy, it makes you preform at higher levels when you feel beautiful and confident. People will feel your presence when you walk in a room, I say don’t ever dim your light, let your light shine in every version of you.
