Tishana Eason is a force of nature—one whose journey of self-discovery and reinvention has become a beacon of inspiration for women across the country. As a salon owner, certified life coach, author, and fashion designer, she brings her multifaceted talents together under one mission: helping women reclaim their confidence, their beauty, and their power.
Tishana’s story begins in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, where her vibrant energy and unmistakable accent first took root. After years of relocating due to her ex-spouse’s military career, she found herself constantly being referred to as “Brooklyn” by those around her. Embracing this nickname, she named her salon “Brooklyn Beauty Bar”—a name that reflects her roots and radiates the bold, unapologetic flair of her hometown. “I wanted to bring that Brooklyn flavor everywhere I go,” she says. And she has.
But behind the stylish scissors and makeup brushes is a woman who has endured and overcome deeply personal pain. Tishana’s first book, Living His Lie, But Found the Truth, is more than just a memoir—it’s a lifeline for women who have lost themselves in the shadows of toxic relationships. The book began as a collection of journal entries she wrote during a difficult marriage, when she had no one she could confide in or trust. Revisiting those pages, she saw the truth of her situation with heartbreaking clarity. “I realized I was living a lie,” she says. “The marriage was built on deception, and I ignored the red flags because I wanted to believe he loved me.”

But that realization marked the turning point. “I decided to love myself enough to leave,” Tishana explains. That pivotal decision set her on a path of healing and empowerment, which now fuels everything she does.
Her multicultural upbringing also plays a vital role in her philosophy of beauty and wellness. “Beauty is not one-size-fits-all,” she says. With sensitivity to various cultural expressions of beauty and a deep respect for different hair textures and skin tones, Tishana takes a personalized, inclusive approach in her salon. Her private salon suite isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s a sanctuary. “Many of my clients are dealing with hair loss or scalp disorders. They may feel embarrassed or vulnerable. Here, they can feel safe and seen.”
Her work goes beyond the surface. As a certified life coach, Tishana integrates self-care and personal development into her coaching sessions. She teaches her clients that self-care isn’t a luxury—it’s a non-negotiable. From helping them set healthy boundaries to guiding them in daily mindfulness practices, she encourages them to cultivate a life of intentional self-love. “You have to commit daily to your emotional, physical, and mental well-being,” she says. “And sometimes, that starts with simply learning to say no without guilt.”
Being a woman entrepreneur in the beauty and fashion industries comes with its own set of hurdles. “People often downplay the impact of my work,” Tishana says. “They don’t realize how much beauty and self-esteem are intertwined. I’ve had to work twice as hard just to be taken seriously.” Yet, she’s never backed down. Her determination to uplift other women has only grown stronger.

That same fire led her to launch GioNyka Couture, a fashion brand born out of the ashes of her divorce. “I was always there for everyone else but never for myself,” she admits. “Starting GioNyka Couture was my way of finally betting on me.” Her clothing line is more than fabric and thread—it’s a symbol of liberation, self-expression, and rebirth. “I had so much creativity bottled up during my marriage. After the divorce, I unleashed her.”
Tishana’s ability to juggle her many roles—stylist, makeup artist, author, life coach, fashion designer—comes down to discipline and self-respect. “I stick to a strict schedule,” she says. “There’s a time and place for everything. And one day a week, I make time for my own self-care. I can’t teach self-love if I don’t practice it myself.”
Even with a packed calendar, her heart remains centered on service. Her clients often book dual appointments for hair care and coaching, knowing they’ll receive both outer transformation and inner healing. “I make it a point to carve out time for that. It’s all connected,” she says. “When a woman feels beautiful and strong, she walks differently, she thinks differently—she becomes unstoppable.”
For women struggling with self-worth, Tishana’s message is simple but profound: “Start small. A little self-care and setting small goals can go a long way. And know this—you can do all things with God’s help. Pain can become purpose. You just have to act now.”

Looking ahead, Tishana is nowhere near slowing down. She’s working on a follow-up to her debut book, titled Living His Lie But Found the Truth: The Sins of My Father, which dives deeper into the generational patterns that shaped her journey. Her dream is to see her book turned into a movie, bringing her story to even more women in need of encouragement and truth. And in 2026, GioNyka Couture will hit the runway in a multi-city fashion show tour that promises to merge bold design with bold storytelling.
Tishana Eason is the definition of resilience, faith, and creative power. Her life is a testimony to what happens when a woman decides to stop shrinking and start shining. Whether she’s transforming a client’s look, helping a woman rediscover her voice, or turning her pain into wearable art, one thing is clear—Tishana is not just building a brand. She’s building a legacy.
