What Nobody Warned You About

You remember the day you decided to start your business?
You were probably dreaming of freedom. And you thought, "If I had my own business, I could make my own schedule. Build something meaningful AND bring in good money."
You pictured working on your own terms, creating something that mattered while finally being in control of your time.
You were starry-eyed. Hopeful. Ready.
So you started.
And now? Now you're exhausted.
The Truth Nobody Warned You About
But what they didn't tell you was that your business would take more time than a full-time job and pay you less than a part-time one.
You thought you'd have flexibility. Instead, you're working at 10 PM after the kids go to bed. You're answering messages during dinner. You're thinking about your business when you should be present.
And the worst part? Your bank account looks the same. Or worse.
One of my clients said, "I started this business so I could have freedom. Now I feel like I have less of it than ever, and I can't even afford the life I want."
I've been there. And if you're reading this, you probably have too.
True Wisdom…
The Bible says in Proverbs 24:3-4, "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established."
Not by working yourself to death. Not by doing it all alone. By wisdom.
Here's what I think is really happening: you're doing everything yourself because you can't afford help. You're undercharging because you feel guilty. You're saying yes to everything because you need the income.
And nobody told you it would be like this.
What If The Business Didn't Break You?
What if the business didn't break you? What if carrying it alone did?
That's the real problem. Not your work ethic. Not your skills. The real problem is isolation.
You're trying to figure out everything by yourself. Googling solutions at midnight. Watching free videos that leave you more confused. Praying for breakthroughs but not getting the support you actually need.
Christian women are especially good at this. We think asking for help means we're not faithful enough. We think struggling alone is somehow more holy.
But that's not what God called us to. Even Jesus had support. His ministry was funded with systems and people. Because purpose often needs provision.
There's Hope
You can have both time AND income. You can be present for what matters and be profitable in your business. You can love Jesus and build wealth.
All it takes is a plan and support to work smarter without working that much harder.
When I was in bankruptcy in 2008, I thought my dreams were over. But God taught me a framework that eventually helped my clients generate over 15 million dollars in profits.
Because business is not meant to be done alone. Remember when God created man he said it was not good for him to be alone and then he created woman..
