For years, Emily Pantelides was a trusted journalist, a familiar face delivering the news across Florida. She had carved out a career that many anchors and reporters dream of, hosting her own show, Good Morning South Florida and telling stories that shaped her community. She built a name recognized in the community and had credibility as someone the public relied on everyday. Her career was secure, respected, and successful. Yet, at the height of that career, Emily felt a pull toward something bigger, something that would require her to step away from the comfort of the newsroom and into an uncharted world…entrepreneurship. She wondered, what if she could take her journalism skills and use them to help others? What if she built a company that gave businesses, charities, and other leaders the tools to share their voices on a broader stage? The thought was exciting, but also terrifying. Leaving news would mean letting go of stability and stepping into a world where there were no guarantees. “It was one of those moments where the safe path was clear, but so was the voice inside telling me to try it. It was honestly my nightly prayers made me feel confident to just make the move. I really felt it, that I was meant to create something different. With God’s help I did just that” Emily recalls. The leap from journalism into PR wasn’t just a career change it was an act of courage that would alter her life and her community in ways she could not yet imagine. Her gamble quickly began to pay off. She created Pantelides PR & Consulting from scratch. Her small idea slowly turning into a powerhouse agency, representing high-profile clients and organizations throughout Palm Beach County and beyond. What made Emily’s firm stand out was not only her expertise, but her years of cultivated media contacts. So many of her friends were in news so when she would call to pitch a story, she knew what a real news story was and what the news wanted. But her success was also thanks to her deeply personal approach to storytelling. Emily spent years understanding how stories resonate with audiences, and now she was helping clients from nonprofit leaders to CEOs shape and share their own narratives with authenticity and impact. Her work became more than just a business; it became a platform for elevating voices and causes that mattered. Charities received new levels of awareness. Local businesses thrived under her guidance. Community leaders found in her a partner who not only understood media but also believed in the transformative power of communication. Looking back, Emily describes the moment she chose courage over comfort as the turning point of her life. “Trust God, and yourself and just do it, do the thing that scares you, go for it, just go do it and don’t let perfect get in the way of the good” she said with conviction.

Today, Emily is more than a former journalist who started her own business. She is a mentor, a strategist, and a leader who has shown others what is possible when you have the courage to trust yourself. She no longer reports stories from the newsroom instead, she helps create them. Her story resonates with anyone standing at a crossroads, afraid to let go of the familiar but dreaming of something greater. Courage, Emily shows, is not the absence of fear but the decision to move forward anyway. And sometimes, that decision changes everything.
