My name is Chelsea Horton, I’m a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, and the founder/CEO of Healing Embodied, an international somatic therapy and embodiment coaching business. I founded Healing Embodied in 2019, and for years our primary focus was supporting those experiencing relationship anxiety. For years, we saw over and over the power of this work. We heard from countless clients that the work we were doing was changing their lives in ways nothing else had before.

In 2023, my colleague Sarah Rot and I co-founded our internationally accredited embodiment coaching certification program, so we could teach other practitioners our Certified Healing Embodied Method.

In the years since launching our certification program, Sarah and I began to realize that this was our true calling. Working in the realm of relationship anxiety was deeply profound for us, both personally and professionally, but it no longer felt like our soul’s true calling.

In the beginning of 2025, we decided to fully pivot to serving practitioners, leaders, creatives, and entrepreneurs.

In full transparency, the boldest leadership move I made this year was to trust. 2025 was a hard year in my business. We made a lot of big pivots in our offers and who we were speaking to in our marketing. After 5 years in business, we were essentially "starting over" and almost creating a brand new business with different offers and ideal clientele. It was challenging. There were days that I wanted to revert back to the "known" and the "familiar", and go back to what we'd been doing in previous years, even though I knew that was no longer aligned for us. There were days I was terrified I was going to lose everything. There were days that it genuinely would've been easier to walk away.

But I didn't. I did one of the bravest things I’ve ever done: I trusted. I trusted in myself, in my team, in what we were building, in the universe. I stayed the course, I didn't look back. I walked through so much discomfort, and I am beginning 2026 as an entirely different version of myself than I was one year ago.

This year challenged my ability to trust so deeply - And I'm so glad it did. I had no choice but to become a new version of myself over and over.

A version of myself that trusts the process more deeply, that believes in my mission more fiercely, that can ask for help and support more easily, and that can hold the vision unwaveringly even when I can’t yet see external progress.

I’m so proud of who I’ve become, and I know that wouldn’t have been possible without the obstacles I faced this past year.

When asked “How do I handle fear with high-stake decision making?”, the answer is always the same. I connect to my body. I connect to the Part of me that is afraid. I let her know that I see her, and that she's safe. I trust that I can handle whatever is waiting on the other side. Not because my decisions will be perfect, or because I have certainty that everything will work out. But because I trust my ability to handle discomfort, I trust my ability to lean on my support systems when I need to, I trust my decisions even when they are imperfect. I allow myself to feel afraid, knowing that I can handle it.

My leadership principle for 2026 is continually embodying the movement I came here to lead. I believe that my purpose is to lead a movement of liberation. I've liberated myself time and time again from environments and beliefs that no longer serve me - I liberated myself from a harmful and abusive religious environment; From internalized beliefs and shame stories that were damaging my relationships; From a work environment that was draining my soul and energy; and from limiting beliefs around what I was capable of. Now, I lead others in their own liberation through my work at Healing Embodied. I am the very embodiment of the thing I teach, and THAT is what makes me a powerful leader. In 2026, that is the energy I will continue to lead with. My personal embodiment comes before strategy, technique, or theory. I "walk the walk" in everything that I do, and always lead by example
